Ogle County Collector Linda Beck reminds property owners that the first installment of their property tax bill is due June 10.
Payment methods include cash or check (payable to Ogle County Collector). In-person payments can be made at the Treasurer’s office located in the “old” Courthouse at 105 S. Fifth St., Suite 114, Oregon, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
The mailing address is Ogle County Collector, P.O. Box 40, Oregon, IL 61061. Mailed paym e n t s m u s t b e p o s t marked by the due date to be considered timely. L a t e p a y m e n t s w i l l incur a fee of 1.5% per m o n t h o r p a r t o f a month after the due date and must be remitted by mail or at the collector’s office. Payments also can be made at any bank in Ogle County. May 23
Travis L. Adams, 38, of Rochelle, was arrested at 9:11 p.m. for driving while license suspended after a traffic stop near the intersection of Illinois Route 38 and South Chana Road. Adams also was cited for expired registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and an equipment violation. Adams was given an I-Bond and a return court date and was released from the scene.
May 24
Garrett A. Atkins, 22, of Byron, was arrested at 4:40 a.m. for driving while under the influence of alcohol after deputies located a crash in the 200 block of S. Franklin Street in Byron. Atkins also was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance. Atkins was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Debora Waters, 44, of Lindenwood, was arrested at 3:08 p.m. on an outstanding Winnebago County warrant for failure to appear after a traffic stop in the 7000 block of Illinois Route 251. Waters also was cited for driving while license suspended and speeding. She was transported to the Ogle County Jail and also was given an I-Bond for the citations.
Jennifer Nash, 48, of Holcomb, was arrested at 3:34 p.m. for no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop on Illinois Route 251. Nash also was cited for expired registration. Nash was released on an I-Bond and given a future court date.
Austin R. Cantrell, 25, of DeKalb, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. for driving while license suspended after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 mile marker 106. Cantrell also was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and obstruction of windshield. Cantrell was transported to the Ogle County Jail without issue.
May 25
Mary Snyder, 54, of Davis Junction, was arrested for aggravated driving while license revoked after deputies responded to the 100 block of Autumnwood Lane for a reported car in a ditch at 9:41 p.m. Deputies located Snyder at a later time and transported her to Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. Snyder also was cited for driving while license revoked, leaving the scene, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed.
May 26
At approximately 12:30 p.m., deputies and the Rochelle Fire Department responded to a dump trailer fire that was being pulled by a Ford truck on a roadway located in the 18000 block of East Creston Road. The trailer fire quickly was extinguished by the Rochelle Fire Department. The truck driver, Arturo Juarez Guevara, 37, of Creston, was arrested for driving while license suspended. Juarez Guevara was released from the scene on an I-Bond and given a later court date.
Devonte Williams, 28, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was arrested at 7:13 p.m. for no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 mile marker 105. Williams also was cited for lane violation. Williams was given an I-Bond and return court date and was released on scene.
May 27
Miguel Zepeda, 54, of Belvidere, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. for aggravated driving while license revoked after a traffic stop in the 19000 block of Illinois Route 64. Zepeda also was cited for speeding. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held pending an appearance before a judge.
Diamond Davis, 21, of Rockford, was arrested at 8:47 p.m. for no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 mile marker 108. Davis also was cited for no front registration, no valid registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. Davis was released on an I-Bond at the scene and given a future court date.
Janet Harvey, 59, of Holcomb, was arrested at 9:51 p.m. for aggravated domestic battery after deputies responded to the 200 block of Caroline Street in Holcomb. for a domestic. Harvey was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held pending an appearance before a judge.
May 28
Roger Fernandez-Sabillon, 29, of Houston, Texas, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. for no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 mile marker 97. Fernandez-Sabillon also was cited for an improper registration light. Fernandez-Sabillon was released on an I-Bond at the scene and given a future court date.
May 29
Pablo Arana, 29, of Sterling, was arrested at 2:34 a.m. for driving while under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 6000 block of East Flagg Road. Arana also was cited for improper lane usage. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Ivan Johnson, 58, of Rockford, was arrested at 3:37 p.m. for driving while license revoked after a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Illinois Route 2. Johnson also was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper use of registration, no front license plate and defective brake light. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
May 30
James L. Musgrave, 38 of Rochelle, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. for driving while under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at N. Illinois Route 2 and Camling Road. Musgrave was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. Musgrave was additionally cited for improper use of registration, no valid registration, and an inoperable trailer taillight/brake light.
Deputies, along with the Polo Police Department and Polo Fire Department responded to South Freeport Road and West Sterling road for a single-vehicle accident with injuries.
After a brief investigation, Deputies determined a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on South Freeport Road when it failed to stop at West Sterling Road.
The vehicle then traveled across West Sterling Road resting in a field.
Brittany Madonna, 25 of Tiskilwa, was arrested for driving while unlicensed. Madonna was also issued citations for disobeying a stop sign and improper lane usage.
Madonna was released on a $2,500 I-Bond after being treated at KSB Hospital for minor injuries. A female passenger sustained critical injuries during the crash.
At 7:30 p.m., deputies responded to an unwanted subject in the 400 block of Linda Avenue of Rochelle. After a brief investigation, Levi Wolfe, 33, was arrested for domestic battery. Wolfe was transported to Ogle County Jail where he was held pending a court appearance.
Darius Williams 25, of Rockford, was arrested at 8:13 p.m. for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop at Illinois Route 64 and Mulford Road for speeding. He was also cited for speeding. Williams also had a valid failure to appear warrant. Williams was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
