Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle reports the following police activity.

March 1

Lucero Montalvo, 30, of Rochelle, was arrested for driving while license revoked after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 near mile marker 110 at approximately 12:05 a.m. Montalvo also was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and no registration light. She was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Nicholas Parsons, 20, of Mt. Morris, was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis/improper container after a traffic stop at approximately 9:17 p.m. near the intersection of Illinois Route 64 and South White Rock Road. Parsons also was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and loud exhaust. Parsons was released on an I-Bond and future court date.

March 3

Nancylee Limond and Kenny Adams were arrested for residential burglary and theft, more than $300, after deputies investigated a report of a burglary in the Mt. Morris Estates Trailer Park. Limond and Adams were taken into custody, transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Christina N. Dodd, 26, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was arrested for no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop in the 400 block of South White Rock Road at approximately 7:13 p.m. She also was cited for improper turn signal. Dodd was taken into custody without incident, transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

March 4

Keith Ford, 33, of DeKalb, was arrested for driving while license suspended after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 near mile marker 106 at approximately 7:06 p.m. Ford also was cited for improper lane use and an equipment violation. Ford was given an I-Bond and a return court date.

Hector Hernandez, 53, of Loves Park, was arrested for driving while license revoked after a traffic stop in the 15000 block of East Creston Road at approximately 8:23 p.m. Hernandez also was cited for failure to signal and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Hernandez was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Joel Jackson Jr., 23, of Rockford, was arrested for no valid driver’s license and unlawful possession of cannabis/improper container after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 near mile marker 111 at approximately 8:36 p.m. Jackson also was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lighting and illegal window tint. A passenger in the vehicle, Vandalle Reed, 22, of Rockford, was cited for no seat belt. Jackson and Reed were released at the scene.

Christal Modeliste, 23, of Rockford, was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 mile marker 104 for an equipment violation at 10:46 p.m. Modeliste also was cited for no registration light. Modeliste was released on a signature I-Bond with a return court date.

March 5

Bryce W. Hatfield, 19, of Belvidere, was arrested for aggravated fleeing to elude a police officer and speeding 97 mph in a 55 mph zone. At 2:24 a.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 9000 block of Illinois Route 72 for a moving violation. Hatfield did not stop and deputies pursued, eventually stopping the vehicle. Hatfield also was cited for failure to signal, disregard a stop sign and improper lane use. Hatfield was transported to the Ogle County Jail pending an appearance before a judge.

Bruce Prosser, 51, of Rochelle, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and obstructing a peace officer after deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch in the 1800 block of South Freeport Road at approximately 3:32 p.m. Prosser’s Chevrolet 2500 was towed by Dyer’s Towing. Prosser was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

March 6

Dawn M. Stonecipher, 42, of Byron, was arrested for no driver’s license after a traffic stop in the 10000 block of Illinois Route 72 at approximately 1:49 p.m. Stonecipher was given an I-Bond and return court date.

Robyn Pierson, 32, of Oregon, was arrested for driving while license suspended after a traffic stop on Interstate 39 mile marker 111 at approximately 9:53 p.m. Pierson also was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and obstructed driver’s view. Pierson was given an I-Bond and return court date and released on scene.

OBITUARIES

ARCHIE C. THOMPSON

Born: February 7, 1931 Died: March 4, 2022

OREGON, IL – Archie C. Thompson, age 91, left this earthly life on Friday, March 4, 2022 in his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Arch was born on February 7, 1931 in Elk City, OK, the son of Samuel Lloyd & Eda Lois (Ross) Thompson. After spending his first few years in Western Oklahoma during the “Dust Bowl,” his family moved to Eastern Oklahoma, where he lived until high school graduation. He then joined the Air Force where he learned aviation mechanics, specializing in the new field of jet engines. This led to a dream career of being a flight engineer for American Airlines for 35 years.

After the Air Force, Arch returned home to Tahlequah, OK where he met the love of his life, Anne Cole, and they were married within six months. Together, they had three wonderful children, and lived in Kansas City, MO, Dallas TX suburbs, Chicago, IL suburbs, Buffalo, NY, Lake Whitney, TX, and northern Illinois.

In July 2001, during his wife’s surgery, Arch was introduced to Jesus, where he said he went through a conversion and experienced the greatest day of his life. Ever since that day he has served God and his church.

Arch is survived by his loving wife: Anne, Oregon, IL; daughter: Laurie Friemuth, Oregon, IL; son: James Thompson, Ashland, VA; and grandchildren: Nick, Max, and Emily Thompson, all of Ashland, VA.

He is predeceased by his parents; daughter: Cheri Thompson (1983); granddaughter: Delaney Thompson (2020); and son in law: Bob Friemuth (2020).

Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL with Pastor Jeremy Heller officiating of Faith Discovery Church, where Arch was a member, treasurer, Deacon, and Elder. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held in Finch Funeral Home on Saturday March 12, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until service time. www.finchfuneral.com
