Mr. and Mrs. Mark Pruis to celebrate 50th anniversar y

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Pruis of Morrison will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at Emmanuel Reformed Church Christ Center, Morrison , on Saturday, July 17, from 2 to 4. No gifts please.

Mark Pruis and Connie Carpenter were married July 10, 1971 at Emmanuel Reformed Church. They are the parents of three sons, Greg (Tammy) Pruis, Scott Pruis and Cory (Nikki) Pruis. They are blessed with seven grandchildren.

Mark retired from General Electric after 31 years as a tool and die maker a n d m o s t r e c e n t l y e i g h t y e a r s a t Climco Coils. Connie worked at the American Legion, Workman PHC and Resthave Home. They enjoy spending time with family and attending their grandchildren’s activities and sports.

Morrison Police

June 25

At approximately 6:32 a.m., police responded to Co-Z Corner Convenience Store regarding a suspicious vehicle. As a result of the investigation, Kelsey N. Baldridge, 29, of Des Moines, Iowa, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and obstruction of identification (a Class A misdemeanor).

Baldridge was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, was processed and then released on a notice to appear.

July 1

At approximately 4:28 p.m., Morrison Police responded to 403 Badger Ct., Morrison regarding a domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Shari L. Hanz, 56, of Morrison, was arrested and charged with domestic battery (Class A misdemeanor).

Hanz was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

Terry L. Atkinson of Fulton, was cited for no valid registration in the 400 block of 14th Avenue. He was released with a notice to appear.

June 26

Cassandra L. Day of Morrison, was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and no valid driver’s license in the 1900 block of Fulton Road. She was released with a notice to appear.

Amy S. Meyermann of Albany, was arrested for DUI, no valid registration, no proof of insurance and failure to signal when required. She was released with a notice to appear.

Ethan P. Harrington of Clinton, Iowa was cited for disobeying a stop sign at Route 136 and Route 84. He was released with a promise to comply.

June 27

Payton D. Dorathy of Tampico, was cited for speeding in the 1400 block of 14th Street. She was released with a promise to comply.

this year due to many who are unable to attend, as well as ongoing Covid concerns. The descendants of Mark, Alex, and Henry Ashdown will meet virtually this year. The family hopes to meet in person again in 2022.
