etween work and holidays, it’s easy to let stress creep in, and the tension isn’t just in one’s shoulders. This isn’t just a feeling, said Dr. Mitch Quill, owner of Bolingbrook Family Chiropractic. Physical and mental stress causes an increase in cortisol that can lead to decreases in immunity, leaving one vulnerable to illness, which can mean more colds during the long winter months. At Bolingbrook Family Chiropractic, Quill and his wife, Dr. Gabriela Ludeman, work with patients looking to improve their health by looking at the root of the problem. Whether it’s assessing discomfort, pain, or delving into the root of problems. Chiropractic adjustments can calm nerves, improve function and increase circulation. At their family practice, they treat patients from just a few days old to patients well into their 80s.
A great way to work out stress and build some muscle is adding fitness, from a brisk walk through the neighborhood to taking a class on Pilates, or even a dance cardio routine. Sometimes when it comes to fitness, the first step is the hardest.
