Whiteside County Senior Center, Whiteside Public Transportation and Lee County Council on Aging will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veteran’s Day. Lee-Ogle Transportation System will be operating and Lifescape Community Services will be serving meals. Whiteside Senior Center, Whiteside Public Transportation, Lee County Council on Aging, Lee-Ogle Transportation System and Lifescape Community Services will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29, in observance of Thanksgiving.

2014 membership campaign starts soon

Fourth Annual Santa’s Workshop at Whiteside County Senior Center 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 14 Breakfast with Santa will be served from 8 to 10:30 a.m. The price for breakfast is $3 for adults and $1.50 for children. The elves have been busy making gifts and children love to give gifts to their Moms, Dads, family members, and special people in their lives. Our workshop provides a wonderful low cost way for kids to do their Holiday shopping! Gifts range from 50 cents to $3. Children are able to shop with a team of special elves and even decorate their own special wrapping paper! This is a wonderful way to teach children the gift of giving! Pictures with Santa are $2, and are printed on site within minutes. Free face painting and balloon artists making animal balloons. So mark your calendars for a fun-filled morning with Santa and all the elves!

Have a picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 8 a.m. to noon upstairs in the Post House Ballroom. Shop for loved ones with our elf helpers. Gifts will be priced from 50 cents to $3.
