Created in 1946, the Princeton Park District maintains over 200 acres of parks, the Bureau County Metro Center, and the outdoor Alexander Swimming Pool.

It is our mission to provide leisure and recreation services to our communities and to provide safe, inviting and family oriented activities for all residents.

Zearing Park

Zearing Park is a hub of action from March to November. Baseball and soccer abound at the sprawling 72-acre park on the southeast corner of Princeton. You find 3 baseball diamonds, shelters, picnic and barbecue areas, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, playground, and concession stand. Zearing Park is also the home of a 3 acre fully stocked pond, 1.7 mile walking path, and outdoor soccer complex.

City County Park

Our City County Park is a 65-acre park nestled throughout a natural woodland setting just north of town offering barbecue areas, log cabin shelter, playground, ball field, and restrooms. It is often the location of Boy and Girl Scout Day Camps and our annual Shadows of the Blue and Gray Civil War Reenactment each October.

West Side Ballpark

Westside Ball Park is hustling and bustling with activity during the baseball and softball seasons. Princeton Youth Softball and Princeton Youth Baseball as well as Princeton Church League, the Bureau County Metro Center Leagues and many others play at Westside Park.

ALEXANDER PARK

This 12-acre park hosts a 9-hole disc golf course, pickleball courts, tennis courts, barbecue & picnic areas, shelter, restrooms, playground, sand volleyball court, and the outdoor Alexander Pool.

Bureau County Metro Center

The Bureau County Metro Center is a 50,000 square-foot recreation center featuring a full-size gymnasium; 25-yard indoor swimming pool with wading pool and observation deck; racquetball court; state of the art weight room and cardio room; elevated running/walking track above the gym; locker rooms. A multi-purpose room with adjacent kitchen provides the perfect setting for conventions, expos, meetings, or wedding receptions. The Park District Staff and the Bureau County Metro Center strive to provide a continuous schedule of fun and exciting events, leagues and classes keeping our residents and visitors active & entertained all year long.
