Visit Bureau County Fair’s Nightmare on Fairgrounds Road, set from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 at the fairgrounds. Now in its 11th year, this popular event features live actors, animated props, hayracks and more. All that screaming working up an appetite? Scare u=p some refreshments at Mummies Eatery. Paranormal investigator and author David Youngquist of Tiskilwa will discuss Bureau County’s alleged ghosts and ghost stories. Admission is $8 per person. Those who hate to wait in line can buy a SpeedPass for $10. The SpeedPass allows people to bypass the lines.
