Ready or not, here we come Ghosts and goblins, monsters and darkened mazes await the brave as the doors creak open this weekend for the annual Nightmare on Fairgrounds Road at the Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton. The 10th annual Nightmare on Fairgrounds Road will be held every Friday and Saturday in October, from 7 to 10 p.m. each night. Features will include several transformed haunted barns, a haunted hayrack ride, bonfire and a concession stand, with specialties like brain barbecues, nachos and guts, and devil’s spit. As a new feature this year, local author David Youngquist will have nightly readings on paranormal activity. Admission is $8 per person, but speed passes are available for $10. Or, new this year, a person can get a Monster Pass for $30 and use it multiple times.
