The first day of school...it’s approaching There’s nothing quite like seeing bins of school supplies as you enter area stores to drive home the point that summer is coming to end. So kids, get ready to pack away your swim trunks and get ready to begin filling your new backpack with supplies, so you’re ready for the first homework assignment. Area stores are stocking up for the back-to-school rush. Most schools have lists that feature what school supplies are needed for each grade level. Call your respective school or check out your school’s website for that information. Most area schools will host their first day in a few weeks, so parents should make sure they have all necessary paperwork they need in order for their students to start school. Since each school differs, parents/guardians should call their school districts for applicable information. IV Scene photo/Dave Cook
