4-H Fair will kick off Thursday This year’s 4-H Fair will run from Thursday, July 20, to Sunday, July 23, at the Bureau County Fairgrounds. The four-day event is the culmination of all the 4-H youths’ hard work and efforts on the projects they have chosen to participate in during the year. The projects are brought to the fairgrounds to be displayed and judged. The general projects will be on display starting at 9 a.m. Thursday. Goats and sheep arrive at the fair Friday with the show starting at 4 p.m. Swine arrive Friday afternoon with the show at 6 p.m. Other livestock arrive at the fair on Saturday and are on display by 8 a.m. On Sunday, most of the fair exhibits will be gone, however all are welcome to enjoy watching the Horse Gaming and Fun Classes, which will begin at 10 a.m. The 4-H Fair is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Families and individuals are welcome to visit the buildings to see the projects and livestock and to watch the judging events. All ages are sure to find something to catch their interest.
