Farm-fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market PRINCETON — The Princeton Farmer’s Market, held on the lawn just south of the Prouty Building on Main Street, is a cook’s dream, especially for those who don’t have their own gardens. The event is held every Saturday morning and Tuesday afternoon. Area vendors bring a variety of fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, honey, flowers and more. Those same vendors are ready and willing to tell event-goers how to best use some of the more obscure vegetables they produce locally on their own farms. A host of more common vegetables are also available. From strawberries to watermelons, from cucumbers to tomatoes, from green beans to cabbage and Brussel sprouts, you’re sure to find something at the Princeton Farmer’s Market to please your taste buds. The baked goods are fresh and sweet — tempting even the most rigid dieter. For the best selection, shoppers will want to arrive early. Saturday hours are 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. On Tuesday, the Princeton Farmer’s Market is from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The Princeton Farmer’s Market is coordinated by the Princeton Farmer’s Market Board of Directors.
