And the band played on The Princeton Community Band kicks off another season at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 4. All concerts are held on the lawn at Soldiers and Sailors Park on South Main Street in Princeton. Admission is always free, and event-goers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs. Mark your calendars for other Princeton Community Band concerts set for June 18, July 2, July 16, July 23 and July 30. All these concerts are on Sundays and begin at 6 p.m. The Princeton Community Band is an all-volunteer band. It was brought back to life in 2005 and conducted by Jeremy Lehman. In 2008, James Jones took over the baton. This year, Ann Lusher will conduct the band. To be a part of the Princeton Community Band, you must be entering high school in the fall or older; have your own instrument; and have instrumental experience.
