Love is in the air Valentine’s Day is Sunday, Feb. 14, and it’s no secret this special day is one filled with love ... not to mention gifts that represent the fondness felt for each other. According to www.statisticbrain.com, the No. 1 present given at Valentine’s Day is candy, followed by flowers, cards, jewelry, dining out, clothing and gift cards. And it looks like many, many people take the idea of giving Valentine’s Day gifts to heart. The average annual spending for Valentine’s Day is $13,290,000,000. Statistics also show 180 million Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged, and there are 198 million roses produced. The website also said the average consumer spends $116.21 on their Valentine’s Day purchases. So whether you decide on flowers, chocolates, that cute cuddly Teddy bear, a night on the town or even a greeting card, your thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift help generate the love you’re feeling for that special someone.
