THE FACTS ABOUT SUPERVISOR MYRON MANLEY When I was elected to the Clarke County Board of Supervisors, I was under the impression I was here to help and serve all the taxpayers equally. When running for the position, I informed the taxpayers if they had an issue contact me if they thought I needed to look at the problem I would. To this day that is what I do, the reason they want me to look is I have years of experience and knowledge of what needs to be done and at who’s expense. I have often told very good friends it was not the county’s problem it was theirs. Did that make them happy? NO IT DID NOT, but that is part of my job. To treat every taxpayer the same and save the taxpayers money by not doing favors for certain people. As Your County Supervisor I am appointed to the following boards: Clarinda Advisory Board (co-chairman), Clarke Co. representative to Iowa Community Assurance Pool, Heartland Management (SIRF, CARE, Innovative Industries and SS or SCI), Crossroads Behavioral Health, Iowa Regional Workforce Investment Board (CEO Chairman), Kids First Communities, Murray Community Task Force, Murray Economic Development Board, REAP, Southern Iowa Trolley (Chairman), S.C.I.C.A.P. and Village Advisory. I also go to Iowa State Association of County Meetings at least five times a year. I DO ATTEND called meetings. If you have a question if I regularly attend meetings, call and ask the above organizations.
