Throughout my career I’ve been lucky to work on a vast variety of project types, public and private, large and small, each one of them bringing unique challeng es and opportunities for growth. Looking back can see the choices that were made, and some that didn’t make the final cut but can see each projects effect on me as well as my effects on the proposed design.
grew up, and went to college in New England, witnessed unpredictable wintery weather, hurricanes and coastal flooding events, but also the beauty in the fall and the joy on a warm spring day. got my master’s degrees from the University of Arizona, and learned to appreciate shade and the monsoon season. Spending time and learning to draw and design in the Northeast and the Southwest is a unique skill that cherish.
believe as architects we have a role and responsibility to shape the built environ ment of the future. We need to do our part to build a better tomorrow, designing to energy code standards is fine, but its also the worst building you can design (legally), try to do better and have a higher bar for my work. understand the world will not change overnight and that some jobs, and clients are not ready to hear about sustainable strategies. As a relatively new father, just try to design to a level that my children and the future generation would appreciate in the world that they will one day inherit.
personal summary. Portfolio “Architecture is the story of how we see ourselves. Tuft’s University School Dental of Medicine is prominently located on the corner of Washington Street and Kneeland Street but the existing entrance to the school / facility was long and convoluted. The existing elevators for the 15 story building were not able to keep up with the stream of students and physicians during peak traffic hours. The existing building design did not reflect Tuft’s University as the global leader in oral health that it is today.

Student Work - University of Arizona
education summary.
From a very early age I’ve been designing and doing what I can to make a physical difference in the world. In High School I took the 2 year drafting elective an extra year, using that time to teach the new students 2 point perspective, optimal bridge loading techniques and provided design layouts for the cafeteria seating arrangements.
Wentworth Institute of Technology
During my years in undergrad I continued to hone my drafting skills, learned about the details that make or break design concepts, and found a love for crafting and building models.
University of Arizona
In Tucson I learned about the importance of shade and solar orientation, the passive strategies used for generations in Egypt and other desert climates to cool residence without needing to consume fossil fuels. I took two Masters programs concurrently and combined my thesis with a physical structure and a report on the environmental impact the transit center had on the city of Tucson.

Helped the PCA Little Giants win ( 3 ) Softball Championships during my 8 years on the team. Even when we weren’t winning we still had fun bonding and rooting for each other to succeed.
Organized Three “Learn to Curl” events where I brought my love for this strange but fun Olympic event to the office. It was very popular and people enjoyed spending time on the ice learning something new.
Volunteered for multiple Habitat for Humanity rebuilds and refurbishments. Provided my skills with a table saw and other power tools to help restore homes for families in need.
Co-leader and volunteer on multiple CANstruction projects for CANstruction Boston builds at the BSA space. Sculptures matched a theme each year were built in less than 8 hours, then deconstruction and donated to the Merrimack Valley Foodbank.
