Creating A Space That
Speaks Your Language. The immense passion for Art and Designs was the drive in pursuing my Diploma in Interior Design at Collarts. During the course of my studies, I recognised my appreciation for a range of design periods and styles; I realised that a space will only work with the right balance of flair that tells a story about the people who inhabit them. My goal is to work together every step of the way in exploring and maximising the potential of your dream space.

SURRY HILLS, NSW
CLIENT BRIEF A NEWLY-WED young couple who recently purchased their first home in Inner Sydney, the renowned “Small House,” which has been featured on Grand Designs Australia and in various architecture articles. The clients are seeking a design solution to transform the house into a home as the existing colours are deemed cold and neutral. My clients live an active lifestyle and enjoy entertaining, the desired outcome of this project is to create a functional space that reflects their personalities and characters, an area to entertain and is environmentally sustainable.
DESIGN STATEMENT As the name suggested, the Very Small House bears the space limitation for the design solutions. The Design ideas will require extensive space planning to prevent clutter but not compromising the aesthetics and design elements acquired; also taking into account in creating a space to entertain. Furniture and accessories selection will involve sustainability considerations through comprehensive research on materials used, responsible manufacturing process and the overall impact on the environment.

PROPOSED COLOUR SCHEME
Playful & Engaging TRIADIC COLOUR SCHEME To reflect the client’s exuberant personalities, a triadic colour scheme was proposed. The colour palette of Yellow-Orange, Red Violet, and Blue-Green evokes playfulness and charisma, reminiscent of Atomic Cat artwork from the Mid-Century Modern era. The combination of warm and cool colour palettes adds interest to an otherwise neutral and cold environment.

SPACE PLANNING Space planning is an important part of the design process for the Very Small House. The 7x6 metre footprint on each level dictates the execution of the floor plan and the placement of furniture. Each piece of furniture must be carefully considered to ensure that the proposed layout is functional, practical and safe. The design outlook resulted in an aesthetically pleasing and effective configuration through the use of negative space and rigorous analysis.

BATHROOM DESIGN
02 MOODY MID-CENTURY LUX is the design concept developed for this bathroom design project. The aim is to create a mysterious and intriguing ambience. This concept is a divergent interpretation of Mid-Century Modern with a distinct contrast to the commonly harmonious colour palette.

The marriage of darker colour scheme in Black Terrazzo floor tile and Matt Black Hexagon Mosaic, combined with brushed metal finish in tapware complement the prominent timber grain of the vanity; embracing the MOODY component of this design scheme. The LUXE element of this overall scheme is extended by marble look porcelain wall tiles. Materials are carefully chosen to maximise functionality, sustainability, and the well-being of my ageing clients.
Porcelain floor tiles are well-known for their anti-slip properties, stain resistance, and durability. Not to mention it is highly recyclable. Engineered veneer was chosen as the finish for vanity from a manufacturer that is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council ) certified ensuring materials are sourced responsibly.
The collaboration of this design exhibits a unique characteristic and a pleasing visual aesthetics, serving the righteous purpose of a bathroom.

WOODVALE ROAD, BORONIA VIC 3155
CLIENT BRIEF CONCEPT & DESIGN PROJECT for a twoCOLOUR SCHEME bedroom newly built apartment in Boronia, Victoria. My clients are a young couple acquiring a full design proposal to call their new apartment home. My clients have asked for the replacement of the bathroom vanity and the addition of builtin cabinets to increase storage capacity.
Crisps, earthy, and neutral colour palettes are popular with my clients. High-quality materials that are not ostentatious in appearance. The proposed colour scheme is neutral, with accents of navy blue and mustard, and the quality timber furniture and fittings are minimalist in design.
Refined Comfort
COLOUR SCHEME The materials proposed include an acquired colour scheme as well as a combination of textures to create interest. Linen, Jacquard Fabric, and Velvet were used in the living room’s soft furnishings and accessories. The use of a warm and cold colour palette, as well as neutral, is chic, playful, and modest.
MATERIALS The laundry materials board is made up of an Ash Grey Quantum Quartz stone bench, white hexagon tiles, and Olive FSDD Grout by Ardex. (resistance to dirt and low VOC) Eveneer’s Pailing engineered timber veneer is used to laminate the cabinet. The goal of this design was to create a lowmaintenance, functional space that was also safe for my clients by utilising environmentally sustainable materials.

DESIGN STATEMENT The idea behind this living and dining concept is to create a warm and intimate atmosphere, whether it’s over lunch or dinner at the dining area, or a conversation in the lounge room, the furniture layout allows for a cosy get-together. A large couch and two large armchairs provide plenty of seating for visiting guests and family members. The furniture chosen is ergonomically designed and comfortable. Seat dimensions are generous, with a raised back and headrest to accommodate long conversations or movie nights. Hand Sketch
All furniture chosen is ergonomically designed, with seating heights of at least 460 mm from the floor for all chairs and solid back support. Positions are also carefully considered for this design to ensure that there is enough space to walk around even if the dining chairs are extended while in use. The armchair near the sliding door is positioned in a corner, allowing for quiet reading while remaining visible to the lounge and dining areas; the chair can also be rotated to face the lush greenery if desired. A two-tier floating bookshelf is within reach for easy access to books as well as displaying the book collections.

Fortiz’s owners, Sabrina and Geraldine, have acquired a design proposal to accommodate several employees as well as a private office individually that reflects their style, There will be two separate sections for formal meet and greet, as well as a waiting lounge. The overall impression of the office is welcoming and warm, which is consistent with the company’s image. The owners want their new offices to avoid a corporate atmosphere with a uniform layout and design.

DESIGN PROPOSAL The layout for each office was uniquely curated to suit my clients’ requests. Glass partitions with powder-coated aluminium frames were suggested to create sections that cater to individual offices. The use of glass partitions instead of opaque materials allows natural light into the interior space. Mustard yellow was chosen to complement the navy blue in the Fortiz logo. To add warmth to the space, a combination of dark and light wood, such as Walnut and Oak, was proposed in the overall colour scheme and materials board.
