Canada Reunion

August 1st-4th

FGGC Owerri North America Reunion was EPIC!! It was a four-day reunion filled with sisterhood and unlimited excitement.

Day One was an all white boat cruise and karaoke night. Everyone looked amazing in their all white outfits with a touch of their respective school house color. We had the best time as we cruised around downtown Canada and saw the skylines. The DJ was exceptional and we danced all night long. The view of Canada at night was incredible and oh by the way, our delicious Niaja staples were on full display

Day Two Morning: Excursions Galore. You can't go to Canada and not go to Niagara Falls! We wore our reunion T shirts and loaded into about 6 coach buses to Niagara Falls. As we drove to our destination, we sang school songs and reminisced about our teenage years. At Niagara Falls, we got into a boat that took us closer to the Falls and were amazed to see such a beautiful creation.

Day Two At Night was Set Hangout. An evening for each set to spend time with one another.

Day Three in Morning. We wore our blue reunion uniforms to attend the Annual General

Meeting. During the meeting, each North America Chapter showcased their accomplishments since the last reunion. We also listened to a talk about Burn out and disproportionate impact on black women. The meeting ended with us casting our votes for the next reunion destination. We are happy to announce that SoCal Chapter is the host of destination 2026!

Day Three at Night. Dressed up in our formal attire, we all headed into the exquisitely decorated hall for our Gala Night. Everyone looked exceptionally beautiful. The gala was filled with comedic relief from the MC, cultural performances and sisters singing different school songs from back in the day. We did some fundraising towards installation of solar panels for our Alma-mater. The night ended with the infamous set dance.

Day Four; Thanksgiving Sunday Service and saying our goodbyes. We fellowshipped with one another. After the service, we said our goodbyes and headed back to our various homes. The reunion was an unforgettable experience filled with life long memories and sisterhood!
