WORD FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Welcome to the 2025 GHSA Lacrosse State Championships! The fi nals are sure to be exciting as all of the schools represented are looking forward to their team achieving the title of “Champion”. However, we all know that all of our teams are outstanding and are defi nitely winners. This has been an outstanding season and this year’s fi nals will include familiar faces as well as teams that have worked hard and peaked at just the right time. Our congratulations are in order for all of the teams, coaches, administrators, students and parents who have supported the athletes throughout this year’s journey to the fi nals. I know you will enjoy and appreciate the state championships and all of the work leading up to this exciting event.
I would also like to thank you for your support of high school lacrosse throughout the season. Your attendance and support are integral to the success of high school athletics and for the team and individuals you are here to cheer on. Good sportsmanship is expected from our athletes, and I urge you to be positive in your support of all of our teams. Let’s work together to make today’s fi nals a great experience for all involved.
To put on an event of this magnitude takes many volunteers who have worked tirelessly to provide a “fi rst-class” event. Many hours of work from this group will enhance the experience of our players, students and fans. The GHSA staff has been working for weeks as well to ensure a special event for all involved.
Finally, I would like to thank our corporate sponsors who make it possible to put on these championships. Their advertisements can be seen throughout this guide, and I encourage you to support them whenever possible. The GHSA wants to thank these exemplary companies for their involvement, we appreciate their support.
Thank you for your attendance, and I know you are going to enjoy the best high school lacrosse anywhere!
Dr. Tim Scott Executive Director

GHSA LACROSSE HITS APEX AT STATE FINALS
BY NAJEH WILKINS | NWILKINS@SCOREATL.COM
The GHSA lacrosse season will feature a two-day state championship schedule, played at Denmark High School in Alpharetta on Friday and Saturday as teams and fans around the state watch the season’s conclusion.
Titles will be awarded in Divisions 1, 2 and 3 for both girls and boys and on the boys side, Division 3 is headlined by a familiar face in the Lambert Longhorns who are looking to win their fi rst state championship since 2022.
Last season, the Longhorns fell just short in a thrilling overtime loss to Buford, whom they knocked out in the semifi nals this season, thanks to Cole Greenfi eld’s hat trick and a 10-0 run to win the game.
Lambert is seeking to clinch its seventh state championship, with its current six ranking secondmost all-time, trailing only Westminster (7).
On the girls side, Milton (Division 2) is seeking its 18th state championship and eighthconsecutive title. It’s been quite the run of dominance for the Lady Eagles who are led by Hall of Fame coach Tim Godby. Blessed Trinity (Division 1) is back in the state championship for the third consecutive year and will look to clinch its seventh title in program history.
NEW CHAMPIONS ON THE HORIZON
On the boys side, Marist and South Forsyth are looking to clinch their fi rst state championships in program history. Marist is coming off a thrilling 7-6 victory against lacrosse power Wesleyan in the semifi nals. The War Eagles also defeated Westminster and Starr’s Mill in the playoffs to reach the title game.
South Forsyth’s resilience was on full display this season after starting the season 0-4. The War Eagles have lost just two games since. South Forsyth has impressive wins on its resume, including Marist, Starr’s Mill, West Forsyth, Hillgrove, and Mill Creek.
On the girls side, West Forsyth and Creekview are seeking their fi rst state championships in program history. West Forsyth is back in familiar territory after making the state fi nal a season ago and will look to fi nish the job this time around. After a 1-3 start to the season, Creekview has made an incredible run to the state championship, knocking off Mount Paran Christian, Chattahoochee, McIntosh, Chamblee, and Pope on the way to a seven-game winning streak to make the state championship.
ELITE PLAYERS SET TO COMPETE
In Division 1, Marist is led by several allstate players, including defender Jude Remmert and midfi elder Vince Fiore. Allatoona also has a deep roster of all-state players which includes attacker Jack Rogers, midfi elder Wyatt Merandi, and midfi elder Owen Rogers.
In Division 2, Roswell also features all-state players, including attacker Kaden Parla and defender Dean Maddux. Lassiter is led by defender Mason Kennedy and attacker Landen Sommers.
In Division 3, Lambert is led by all-state players LSM Cooper Brannon, defensive midfi elder Harrison Richards, attacker Brooks Wehman, faceoff Max Sciro, defensive midfi elder TJ Losurdo, and defender Branson Brooks.
THE BIG REMATCH
On the girls side, the highly-anticipated rematch will take place on the big stage for a secondconsecutive year between Cambridge and Blessed Trinity. The past two seasons have seen these programs play for high stakes. Last year, Cambridge won its fi rst-ever state championship, eliminating the chance at a four-peat for Blessed Trinity. This year, the Lady Titans will try to prove spoiler and win their fourth state championship in fi ve seasons.
