MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD CHAIR AND CEO SHARE Family & Community Services Society (“SHARE”) began when Gertie Grosser, our founder, noticed neighbours in need and set out to help.

Now, almost 50 year later, SHARE is still here, helping our community.

Today SHARE serves over 22,000 people each year, primarily across Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra. Our broad range of supports are rooted in helping people during times of vulnerability. By wrapping our services around our community members, we help them achieve their best possible outcomes.

Whether you are experiencing a financial need, a mental health concern, struggling with substance use or addiction, if you are a senior in need of assistance, a newcomer or refugee, or a child or youth with special needs, SHARE is here to help.

We know there is still so much more work to do.

The COVID-19 pandemic, the affordable housing

crisis, and the opioid crisis have all disproportionately affected the vulnerable members of our community.

These are challenges we must face together, and the coming years are an opportunity to ensure that everyone, regardless of income, race, culture, ability or wellness, has the opportunity to thrive in our community.

SHARE’s Strategic Plan for 2021-2024 reflects this ambition. We would like to thank the many stakeholders who contributed to this plan.

The priorities listed are a direct response to the feedback we received from the remarkable individuals and families we support, our wonderful volunteers, and our amazing staff team.

We look forward to continuing our work to connect, engage and strengthen the TriCities community. As we meet the challenges and opportunities ahead, we are grateful to have you with us on this journey.

SHARE exists to connect, engage, and strengthen individuals and families.

We value and support collaboration that builds respect, trust, and relationships with each individual and with the community.

We are generous when we act unconditionally, without judgement, and without prejudice.
