Care with Dignity!

Dedicated to whole-person care for every neighbor

Our Mission

We are servants who provide care and assistance to those in need and act as advocates for systemic change.

Our Commitment to the Community

The holiday season reminded us of what’s possible when a community leads with compassion. You helped bring relief, care and connection to our community when it mattered most.

As we step into the new year, our focus turns to the future. Share Ourselves remains committed to meeting growing needs with the same urgency, respect, and heart that define our work. Together, we will continue to build a healthier, more equitable future for our neighbors, one person and one family at a time.

Patient Spotlight

A Full Circle of Care

In 2015, this family first supported Share Ourselves through the Adopt A Family program, returning year after year to help make the holidays brighter for others. Their son, Dominic, was part of those moments early in his life—helping deliver gifts and learning the value of community care.

Years later, during a difficult chapter marked by homelessness and addiction, Dominic found support from the same organization his family once supported. Through Share Ourselves, he received food, hygiene kits, and medical treatment during one of the lowest points of his life.

“Share Ourselves helped keep him alive long enough for us to have that year,” they said. “That time meant everything,” said Kristen Luna, his mother.

While Dominic ultimately lost his life to relapse, his family remains deeply grateful for the dignity, compassion, and care he received.

“Circumstances can change in a single day,” she reflected. “Organizations like Share Ourselves matter because they keep people alive long enough to find hope and healing.”

A Season of Giving Thanksgiving Food Distribution

At the start of the holiday season, Share Ourselves provided Thanksgiving meals to local families during a time of increased need. With support from donors, volunteers, and community partners, hundreds of families received food essentials to enjoy a meaningful holiday meal.

More than groceries, this distribution offered relief, dignity, and a reminder that our community cares. Thank you to everyone who helped make this season of giving possible.

Volunteer Spotlight Giving Back as a Family

Jennifer Moumneh first connected with Share Ourselves more than 20 years ago as a graduate student and recently returned— this time with their children—through Family Service Night.

Looking for meaningful ways to introduce their kids to giving back, they found the experience both rewarding and eye-opening.

Seeing her children excited to help, especially while sorting food for Thanksgiving, made the impact feel personal. That experience led her to also participate in Adopt A Family, where they were struck by the scale, coordination, and care behind the program.

“What stood out most was how well run everything was—and how many ways Share Ourselves supports the community,” she shared. Her advice to new volunteers: start small, give it a try, and see how meaningful even a few hours can be.

Adopt A Family 2025

Showing Up with Joy

This holiday season, Share Ourselves continued its 56-year Adopt A Family tradition, supporting more than 1,200 families and over 4,000 children across Orange County with personalized gifts and gift cards.

The program was made possible by the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, including the Santa Ana Unified School District and many other Orange County agencies that nominated families and coordinated gift pickup, as well as Mt. Carmel Church in Newport, which adopted more than 200 families. The Anaheim Ducks Foundation adopted more than 44 families, and OC Wheelmen volunteers assembled hundreds of ready-to-ride bicycles—each complete with a helmet and lock— for children and teens.

Together, this community showed up with care, dignity, and joy— reminding families they are not alone during the holidays. Scan

Team Member Spotlight

Delivering Care with Dignity

Bryan Reed, a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), joined Share Ourselves in 2023. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University, his alma mater.

Growing up in a small town with limited access to care, Bryan understands the challenges families face when navigating complex healthcare systems. That’s one reason he values the team-based approach at Share Ourselves:

“We strive to be a one-stop shop for families—medical, dental, case management—so they don’t have to worry about navigating everything alone.”

“I love working with kids because they’re happy and resilient, even when they’re sick,” exclaims Reed. But for him, the work goes beyond children—it’s about supporting entire families. “I really enjoy making sure the family’s okay. If we take care of the family, they can take care of the child. That’s what makes our work so meaningful.”

He recalls a family who arrived from abroad, living in a car, with two young sons. Through coordinated care, referrals, and support from the clinic team, the family found stable housing, received critical therapies, and thrived. “Even after all that, he came back and brought us a cake,” Reed shares. “It’s moments like that that make this work so special.”

Bryan takes pride in what the clinic offers the community: “At Share Ourselves, we can give top-tier care to every patient, no matter their circumstances. Every donation, every volunteer, every bit of support helps families get the care they need and feel valued. That’s why our work matters—and why the community’s support makes all the difference.”
