2021 MAREKETING RECAP The Marketing Department of Sharefax Credit Union has navigated the challenges of working through a pandemic. From communicating Covid restrictions, PPP loans, electronic services, and more, we have also juggled major projects in 2021.

The first part of the year, we wrapped up the End of Year Clearance auto loan offer and rolled into marketing the Valentine’s Day auto loan offer and Spring RV and motorcycle promotional rates. Marketing Department also launched the Scorecard Visa Balance Transfer promotion with radio and social media ads. We also participated in America Saves Week and National Credit Union Youth Month campaigns.

The move to the new corporate office in the spring was a big undertaking. At the same time, we were tasked with promoting several messages to our members and community. We launched the Coming Soon announcements and the Now Open campaigns.

For over two years we have been planning and preparing to promote the 60th Anniversary of Sharefax which was floated from 2020 and combined with the 2021 Grand Opening event held at the new headquarters in Eastgate on Ivy Gateway. This event attracted over 300 people with free food, games, and activities including a live broadcast from B-105 FM and grand prize giveaways of a gas grill, sports tickets, gift cards, and a Nashville Weekend Road Trip.

We were also given the responsibility of promoting the new branch through monthly and quarterly events and activities. We hosted the Clermont Chamber Summer Tailgate and Women in Leadership breakfast. Sharefax also held an ice cream social for neighboring businesses. Due to the surge of Covid variants, we did not host other scheduled monthly events.

The fall was still a very busy time with Member Appreciation Week, International Credit Union Day and social media contests (First Responder Tribute and #SharefaxHalloweenFun). We successfully held our Annual Meeting and elections at the Holiday Inn Eastgate with over 80 attendees. The Marketing Department closed out the year with a focus on seasonal promotions celebrating kindness and generosity, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Business Development has seen great success this year. While finding innovative ways to connect with Select Employer Group partners, Deb managed to meet in person, on Zoom and via phone conferences with HR contacts and their employees to offer SEG visits in whatever ways that were comfortable for their staff and complied with their company policies. Deb reactivated the City of Lebanon, Warren County government employees and Mt. Washington Care Center, Schlueter Plumbing, Midwest Mold and Textures, and made new contacts with others who will be an early focus in 2022.

She also successfully secured 4 new SEG partners. Deb was very active at area chamber events, grand openings, and ribbon cuttings as a Clermont Chamber Ambassador. Deb has maintained contact with local schools. She continues to attend networking events and perform cold-calls weekly to find new prospects and future SEG partners.

AMERICA SAVES WEEK

Sharefax encouraged members to take the America Saves pledge!

Sharefax participated in the America Saves Week initiative again this year. It is a campaign managed by the nonprofit Consumer Federation of America that motivates, encourages, and supports low- to moderate-income households to save money, reduce debt, and build wealth.

SHRED DAY

Sharefax provided a secure document shredding truck on May 15th. The shred truck was at Eastgate from 9:00 am - 10:30 am and then traveled to the Evendale location from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Eastgate shredded 4,400 lbs. and Evendale did 3,000 lbs.

Over 300 people attended the grand opening birthday celebration event. The first 160 attendees received a Sharefax swag bag. All guests received free food tickets and Tikiz treat tickets to enjoy a meal from one of the food trucks. Thank you to Raye Kimberlin, Deb Lopez, Carl Fite, Libby Davidson, and Lisa Evans for serving on the planning committee. Special thanks to all who volunteered before, during and after to make this day a big success!

The marketing department and grand opening committee was asked to come up with a significant grand prize to create a buzz. Raye contacted several regional tourism associations including Pigeon Forge, Chicago, Nashville, Hershey PA, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, etc. She successfully presented Nashville Music City Association with a promotional partnership for a road trip weekend giveaway.

Raye leveraged the marketing campaign assets that included 2 - 3 weeks of radio & TV ads, social media ads, digital advertising, cinema ads, direct mail, our website, emails to Sharefax members and chamber of commerce members.

Grand Prize Winner of the NASHVILLE WEEKEND ROAD TRIP was JENNIFER RUIZ of Russellville! Jennifer and a guest enjoyed a 2-night stay at the Bobby Hotel, Music City Attraction Pass for 2, Music City gift bags, and a $150.00 gas card!

SUMMER TAILGATES

Sharefax sponsored the 2021 Clermont Chamber of Commerce Tailgates

Sharefax hosted local Clermont County businesses for a free lunch! Co-workers, friends, clients and neighbors socialized and grabbed a bite to eat. This event was free and open to the public! Lunch was catered by Chick-Fil-A and Holiday Inn Eastgate donated amazing desserts.

WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP Clermont County is a leader in advancing women in the business sector, with a higher proportion of women-owned businesses, women in the C-Suite, in public office, as leaders in the Chamber and in the business community than any other county in the State of Ohio. Carrie Cox was one of the guest speakers.

SALUTE TO FIRST RESPONDERS

Sharefax honored first responders and military service persons and recognized the lasting contributions they make to our lives. This social media campaign asked individuals to nominate a first responder to win a Sharefax 9/11 commemorative prize pack including tickets to a FC Cincinnati September 11th game. It was our way to say thank you for their service and dedication to our communities and our nation.

Sharefax held a random drawing and selected Chris Butler as the winner. Chris is a Union Township (Warren Co.) firefighter and paramedic 16+ years working in multiple departments. He truly loves the job and what it means. He gives it his all and deserves to have a fun day.

QUARTER

ANNUAL MEETING Sharefax held its annual meeting of the board of directors on Sunday October 24th. Over 80 were in attendance for the event at the Holiday Inn Eastgate. The day included a wonderful lunch with desserts and a performance by Table 15.

Dozens of door prizes were provided by many sponsors including: Atkins and Stang, B105 & Q 102, CUNA, DocuPlus, Doxim, Freimark & Associates, New Richmond Auto Sales, Performance Honda, Spectrum, Cumulus Radio (Warm 98, 96 Rock, The Fox 92.5, WGRR 103.5, & Nash 94.1), and Whitmer & Co. CPA's.

FINANCIAL LITERACY SPONSORSHIPS CEMARK Cemark shows students the advantages of using a credit union. With the basic concept of ‘not for profit, not for charity, but for service’ credit unions provide financial services more economically than other financial institutions. Sharefax has sponsored 7 schools with 494 Saving with Mandy & Randy workbooks and 23 schools with 970Making the Right Money Moves workbooks.

High School Edition is comprehensive program with video lessons taught by Dave Ramsey. Each chapter covers important money topics that build financial confidence and inspire students.

Sharefax renewed its sponsorship at Lebanon High School, and expanded sponsorship to West Clermont and Batavia High Schools in 2021.

Lebanon educated 177 students in the spring of 2021 and 130 students in the fall. Batavia shared the information with 100 students in the fall.

There were 80 students participating in the program at West Clermont High School in 2021.

Deb was able to provide support for 14 class rooms and 11 different teachers in the fall.

2022 FOCUS Sharefax Credit Union Marketing Department has had very busy years with back to back major projects from the core conversion, website redesign, rebranding with a new logo, 60th anniversary and corporate office grand opening. In 2022, the Marketing Department will continue to focus on the rebranding efforts with the completion of all new signage at all locations. In addition, our priorities include getting back to basics and pushing toward change.

2022 Strategic Planning Action Items 1. Build relationships with diverse organizations such as the Hispanic Chamber.

2. Target TQL employees with membership incentives.

3. Allocate sufficient marketing dollars for our credit card program.

4. Investigate the feasibility of “push alerts” to our members.

5. Consider customized marketing based upon branch demographics.

6. Update our product videos and tutorials on our website.

7. Market to young people on sites or apps frequently visited.

8. Market our digital products beneficial for children to their parents.

9. Target market individuals when getting married, starting a business, or their 1st job.

10. Sponsor or rent a booth at bridal showers.

11. Advertise as a secondary option to individuals with another financial institution.

12. Offer monetary incentives for opening a checking account and a debit card.

13. Sponsor events that appeal to young generations.
