SHARE Charlotte is an online platform designed to make it easy to find and support local nonprofits through sharecharlotte.org. They have over 800 nonprofits on their site that serve Mecklenburg County!
If your teams are looking for group volunteer opportunities, you can contact, Melissa Hovey (melissa@sharecharlotte.org) who can help you find a group volunteer opportunity or provide guidance if you are looking for a specific type of volunteer opportunity.
Dollars for Doers Program
Turn Your Volunteer Hours into Community Donations
At TIAA, we believe in recognizing the incredible commitment of associates who give their time to strengthen our communities.
Through our Dollars for Doers program, your personal volunteer efforts become even more powerful.
Here’s how it works:
After volunteering just 5 hours with the same U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, you’ll earn $10 in donation credits for every hour you volunteer. These credits accumulate in your profile and can be directed to the organizations where you volunteer.
You can earn up to $2,500 in donation credits per calendar year, which means up to 250 volunteer hours can translate into meaningful financial support for the causes closest to your heart.

Log your volunteer hours throughout the year and submit your Dollars for Doers grant requests between January 1 and December 4, 2026. Let’s make every hour count - for you, for our community, and for the mission we share at TIAA.
**Please note that hours must be completed in the current calendar year to qualify, and there will be a blackout period from December 5-31, 2026.
