Climate Action Week

On behalf of the Sustainability Committee, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended our first Climate Action Event for The Shannon Airport Group.

• 107 staff across The Shannon Airport Group and Shannon Airport attended the event, most were our own staff with just a handful of Noonan’s and other operators.

• 24 pieces of donated clothing were repaired by Tatjana from AL Alterations in Shannon.

• 150 free vegan lunches provided by 8020 Food truck

• 18 bicycles fixed for staff by Cycle Tech Ireland

• The energy consultant was fully booked for 15-minute intervals from 8am-5pm with great feedback from people on his support. Martin came for free 15-minute consultations for staff regarding a range of home energy topics like installing PV panels, insulating your home, installing a heat pump, or other home upgrades.

• Speakers from Clare County Council and Panda Recycling gave presentations on proper waste reduction and at home solutions.
