For a taste of Eastern Europe, consider a trip to Kaunas. With a flight time of only three hours from Shannon, Kaunas makes for a great quick seasonal break. You’ll be spoilt for choice for things to see in this enchanting city. Kaunas is Lithuania’s second largest city after its capital, Vilnius. It has transformed itself in recent years but yet still holds proudly on to its past. Among the many must-see sights are the Devil’s Museum and Napoleon’s Hill.
Flew from Shannon to New York. From when I entered the airport to going through all security, grabbing a bite to eat and a coffee took just 45 minutes. That was bag drop off, security and US customs. It was a dream!
