Warm Up To Something New
A
s you get out and enjoy warming weather this spring and summer, we invite you to also explore something new in and around the Shannondell community.
Choose from a new Fitness Walking class, planting in the Shannondell Garden, an outdoor bocce game, horseshoes, or simply soaking up the sunshine by the pond with a good book. It’s the perfect time of year to add an activity to your day. As this issue of Inspirations confirms, there’s plenty to choose from. Take Zumba, for instance. This pulsing Latin inspired cardio-fitness craze has found a welcome home at Shannondell. With classes in both clubhouses, getting in step is easy and fun. When it comes to winding down at the end of the day, be sure to peruse the upcoming performances in the Performing Arts Theater. Mezzo-soprano Barbara Dever joins Jeffrey Uhlig in June, the King of Prussia Players return in July, and August is filled with the sounds of Swing. So, get out and enjoy the summer at Shannondell. You’ll find good company.

Fitness & Wellness A
lthough there’s more to do outside in these warmer months, that doesn’t slow things down in the Aquatics & Fitness Center in the Ashcroft clubhouse and Fitness Center in the Bradford clubhouse. You’ll still find the early morning crew swimming and walking their laps in the pool at sunrise. And although the Power Walkers are now making strides on the sidewalk, you’re also still likely to hear them huffing and puffing down the hallways. But if you find yourself searching for a quieter time of day for your fitness routine, try mid-afternoons. Classes are over and many residents are out and about. Some call it their own. We certainly won’t tell.
