Born in Bradford in July 1984 Gareth Gates always knew he wanted to be a performer. It’s well known as a young boy he was head chorister for Bradford Cathedral Choir, even performing solo for the Queen when she visited in 1997. In 2002 Gareth was famously runner up to Will Young in the UK’s first Pop Idol. Instead of disappearing into ‘Pop Oblivion’ he carved out a very successful career for himself, having hits and travelling worldwide.

From the opening chords of the overture the audience are whisked off on a whistle stop tour of wonderful music from the world of musical theatre. The superb cast plucked from West End Shows such as Les Miserables, Evita, Phantom of the Opera. Accompanied by an equally accomplished live band, perform these and many more wonderful songs in concert. UK PINK FLOYD The UK Pink Floyd Tribute Show came together in Northampton in 2010 and they give Pink Floyd fans a treat for the ears with a full two hour set and a feast for the eyes with a spectacular light and laser show. The show spans almost three decades of Pink Floyd’s history. They perform note-fornote classics such as: Astronomy Domine, Shine On You Crazy and Diamond. They put a lot of time and investment into getting the performance right, so we’re sure you’ll come away with the feeling that you’ve almost been in the same room as the real thing!

Normally no exchange of tickets is permitted but where it may be possible there will be a charge of £2 per ticket. Original tickets must be returned at time of exchange. Lost tickets are subject to a charge of £2 per ticket. Refunds may be given at the discretion of the management or promoting agent. There is a £1 charge on each order to post tickets to you, Shanklin Theatre cannot accept any responsibility for tickets lost in the post. Tickets ordered by phone without payment being made at the time of ordering will be held for a maximum of 7 days before being automatically released back on sale without further notice. Box Office Box Office hours are Monday to Friday from 1000 to 1500, Saturdays 1000 to 1300. The Box Office is also open ONE hour before a performance commences. Extended hours operate on show days - please contact the theatre for more information. We accept payment by Cash, Cheque (see below) Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, and JCB. Payment may be made by cheque for shows booked well in advance however with the end of the cheque guarantee scheme cheques will be required to be cleared before tickets can be despatched/collected. Please note that on performance days and during the hour before the performance the Box Office will be busy and there may be a delay in answering your telephone call. Online Booking & Website Online bookings for shows listed on the website can be booked online 24/7 (excluding party bookings and disabled seating - these are only available by telephone or in person). Tickets booked online can be collected from the Box Office on the day of the show and before the show starts and don’t need to be collected in advance. Seats still available to book are shown in RED these will change to GREEN when you select them for purchase. Seats shown with a wheelchair symbol are available to book through the Box Office only. Sweets and Ices The Theatre has a sweetshop in the foyer open before most performances and during the interval. Ices are sold during the interval in the auditorium during most performances. Vouchers Shanklin Theatre has a range of vouchers for sale from £10 - £30 which can be purchased online or in person at the Box Office and can be redeemed online or in person at the Box Office. We are unable to accept any other vouchers. Disabled Access Disabled access for wheelchairs is available at the side of the auditorium. Selected seats in the stalls are held by the theatre for disabled patrons. We regret they are not available to book online - Please contact the Box Office to reserve these seats. The balcony and bar can only be reached by stairs. Toilets are available in the foyer.
