Elsie & Norm’s Macbeth

Derek Acorah The Eternal Spirits Tour

Elsie and Norm, fed up with playing Trivial Pursuit and watching Dynasty, have decided to have a bash at a bit of culture by staging a production of Macbeth in their living-room. After a spot of judicious re-writing by Norm – fresh from his literary endeavours for the Pigeon Breeders Gazette – to make it snappier and more punchy, and undaunted by the large cast, Elsie and Norm set out to act ‘one of the greatest pieces of literature what has ever been wrote in the English Language’, playing all the characters between them.

A new tour for 2013 starring one of the most respected Spiritualist Mediums of a generation. Given the very nature of this controversial subject it is of course important to be insightful and accurate as well as to be able to communicate. Derek Acorah has all of this and more. Described by The Guardian newspaper as THE MODEL OF THE MODERN MEDIUM, Derek’s sincere and friendly approach marks him out as someone very special as he continues to bring help and support to so many.

ANDY FAIRWEATHER LOW

TREXTASY - I Love To Boogie

Andy Fairweather Low’s pedigree is the stuff rock dreams are made of. He first came to prominence at the vanguard of the new youthful expression of music as the lead singer in Amen Corner. The 60s saw them clock up hit after pop hit. Songs such as ‘Bend Me Shape Me’, ‘Hello Suzy’, ‘( If Paradise is ) Half As Nice’ are internationally remembered to this day. But if you were paying close attention you might have picked up a clue in the magnificent ‘Gin House’ to Andy’s future musical collaborations.

T.Rextasy have now been performing around the world for over 20 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc’s very own T.Rex. The band is now accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management. The band has been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’.

An Evening with

PAM AYRES

Pam Ayres brings her latest show to Shanklin Theatre to coincide with the publication of her new book of poetry, copies of which she will be signing after the show. Pam Ayres’ work is funny, and approachable. It sounds simple, as though dashed off, but this is deceptive. Her hair-trigger timing, her eye for the detail of everyday life, and for the absurdity therein, makes for an art that hides art. Pam has sold millions of books, CDs, and DVDs over the years, and she is still a regular on TV and Radio, on programmes such as Just A Minute, Ayres On The Air, QI, Countdown, and The One Show.
