Nonetheless, the foundation of democratic government is still under constant attack from electoral fraud. Electoral fraud undermines public confidence in institutions, distorts popular will, and imperils democratic stability in Jamaica and other nations.

Hidden or overt, unlawful activities including vote-buying, ballot manipulation, and voter intimidation are all considered forms of electoral fraud. It is essential to comprehend the sources, consequences, and countermeasures for this threat if democracy in Jamaica is to continue to flourish.
