Modern Resort. This independent living facility will feature natural elements native to Panama surrounded by modern materials and fixtures. Woods such as walnut and teak as well as palm plants will tie in the surrounding environment. Large windows will allow lots of natural light to fill the space and allow residents to experience Panamanian nature from their homes. Together these elements will form a modern and airy environment to create a peaceful feel.
We were tasked with designing an independent living neighborhood facility including 16 homes and a community center. Each were required to be tailored to the interest and needs of the elderly individuals that would be using the space. Our goal was to create a space that was not only beautiful but functional and accessible with respect to the surrounding environment and culture of Panama City, Panama.
