Thank you for taking the time to check out our 2014 sale offering. We are very excited about this year’s herd bull lineup in all three breeds! As always, only our best will walk the Working Stiff’s ring on March 22nd, and we stand behind every animal 100%.

2013 was quite a year for both operations. At Bridgeway, the first set of Red Simmental calves were born as a result of a tremendous opportunity granted by Ken Gilbert, of Westgold Farms. At Smart’s, 2013 saw a new group of fancy Black Angus females and their calves arrive from Darin Bouchard at Dryland Angus.

We are all very grateful that these long time breeders have such confidence in the direction of our herds and have been eager and willing to partner with us.

We have also been very fortunate to meet and work with many of you over the past few years.

Thank you so much for supporting our programs! Every visit, email, and call encourages us to continue building strong purebred herds that will serve your needs. If there is anything we can do to serve you better, please let us know!

No bull will be refunded for more than actual purchase price and no animal subject to mistreatment or injury will be refunded. Chisum has been blazing a trail with his impressive performance, feed efficiency, and overall presence as an outstanding genetic powerhouse. With his semen unable to come to Canada I felt we needed to get a piece of his legacy and when I was contacted by Nathan Spickler about Trailblazer I jumped on the opportunity.

Trailblazer sold for $15000 to Select Sires, Spickler bred for two cycles and sent him to Ohio. Trailblazer didn’t want to perform with a dummy and would only breed the real thing so we purchased him and became joint owners with Spicklers. You will notice the numbers on this guy are impressive with a little more calving ease than his sire Chisum and yet maintains high weaning and yearling EPD’s. A daughter sold at Spicklers as one of their high sellers at $8000 and the sons averaged over $4500.

An extreme calving ease Trailblazer son out of one of the neatest cows on the farm.

She is thick, moderate with a flawless udder and raised a daughter the year before that was shown and sold out of the stall to Charles Oakley from Quebec.

This long calving ease special comes from a highly prolific line going back to the Forever Lady family which needs no introduction. With the added bonus of the Chisum feed efficiency on the sire’s side.
