Welcome the the Ontario Futurity Sale, Castlerock Marketing is more than happy working with the consignors and the Ontario Angus Association. 2015 is nearing the end but cattle markets have enjoyed two good runs of selling calves and the market has proven itself to holding steady, and most importantly its been profitable. The 2015 lineup is chock full of great genetics backed by consignors who are proud of their consignments. We have a herdsire prospect who is extremely interesting in his type and quality and is certainly worthy. The heifer calf offering is full of show prospects that carry a strong combination of eye appeal for the show ring and will prove to be a sound investment as a potential brood cow for the future. The bred heifers offer the opportunity to clip a coupon in a few short months that will provide immediate return for the new owner and with the cattle market finding new levels the past year, it’s a sound investment!

3. Disputes: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

4. Announcements: Any changes from information in this catalogue will be announced from the auction block; such changes will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to any such announcements.

5. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

6. Certificate of Registration: Each animal in the sale will carry registration papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association. A certificate duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after full and total payment has been made.

Big Smoke is SAV Resource son out of a former junior heifer calf champion at the Royal Winter Fair, Grand June 18X. 1C is a very correct individual with excellent muscling good length of body and perfect feet and legs. I really like this bull calf, he is a lot of fun to lead in the show ring he carries his head high and moves like a cat.

He was Grand Champion bull at the only show we took he to this year. He will be at the Royal so stop by our booth and have a look for yourself. This bull is very easy doing I just think he will make a great herd sire.

Her dam is a first calf heifer from Kessler Front Range and did an impressive job to say the least. With all of this and add in Density on the bottom side, little wonder about the quality in this heifer. She is long fronted, fancy with a great coat of hair and quiet to boot!

Brandy has had an excellent year showing this March yearling! Miss Daisy has been a real easy keeper with an excellent disposition and has been a champion numerous times, including the 2015 Ontario Junior Heifer Show in Brampton.

She follows in her dam’s footsteps who was 2011 RAWF Champion Senior Heifer Calf and Reserve Grand Champion Female the same year at the Ontario Preview show along with being named the 2011 Ontario Show Female of the year. This broody heifer’s sire, Brantnor Regal 10Z, also had his share of show ring success; he was Reserve Grand Champion Bull at the 2013 RAWF and Ontario Show Bull of the year in both 2013 & 2014.
