It always surprises me that God’s people expect so little of Him. It seems like most Christians - also known as “believers”- don’t believe for much more than their own personal comfort. How tragic that we’ve grown accustomed to living below God’s intention for our lives! But if you’re a God-seeker, if you’re looking to have an eternal impact, if you’re not content to live a “normal” life, you must be a person of faith. You can’t please God without it! You must believe that God rewards those who seek Him. You must have confidence in the character and nature of God. That confidence is the foundation that we stand on in Christ! When you’re going through hard times, do you expect God to come through, or do you just try to make it on your own? When you pray, do you try to talk God into being who He already is? When you have a need, do you look to Him as your source? It’s time to be God-seekers. It’s time that we expect Him to do what He has said He will do. It’s time to think outside the comfort zones we’ve created, because they are so fragile. We must seek God to make our lives count for eternity! Is your lifestyle pointing to Jesus? Is there evidence of faith in your life? Let’s expand our expectations! Paul said in Ephesians 3:20 that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, beyond all we could ever ask or imagine. I dare you to take the limits off your faith this year!

We want to shine His light in this dark place! This April, we will be taking our first trip to visit the land and survey the needs of the local community there. Our first project will be to complete construction and furnish the buildings so that we can begin taking teams to minister to the local community.

Samaritan’s Corner had the incredible privilege to serve alongside Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Orlando area. This organization was founded in 1976 as a Christian housing ministry. Their mission statement is: “Seeking to put God’s love to action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.” It was an honor to work alongside this organization and bring hope to a family in our local community that otherwise would not have housing. Our team was able to work on a home project in Orlando and help install drywall to the interior of the home as well as work to landscape the exterior. I was reminded of the passage in Isaiah 58:10, “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” We are called to be a light in our communities. This transformation from darkness to light will take place only when we reach out and get involved in making a difference in the lives of people. Our heart is to see the love of God in action, so that our community will be transformed. I want to encourage you to live your life in such a way that God’s light can shine through you to impact others, for then and only then are we truly fulfilling His command to love our neighbors as ourselves. We are called to demonstrate the love of God! We look forward to future opportunities to serve this organization and our community. Her family gathered around to see what God would do. In that moment, I commanded her leg to grow in the name of Jesus, and immediately, it happened! She was totally healed, and my life was forever changed. I want you have that same experience! I want to invite you to come with Shake the Nations on a crusade. There is nothing like standing on the front lines and watching with wide-eyed wonder as our God does the impossible!
