THE GREAT EXPERIMENT OF THE LUNAE HOMINES

INTRODUCTION

The year is 3005. The planet known as earth has been destroyed by fire over 100 years ago. We, the Lunae Homines, are the product of an evolution of the nearly extinct ex-human race. Before the ex-humans were destroyed, they left some remaining DNA samples in various cloning units that we have since harvested. That remaining DNA is the bases our proposal. But first, allow me to introduce my people to you, the Council of Intergalactic Affairs.

THE TEST // HISTORY OF ORIGIN

Before the inevitable destruction of the human race, there was a test sent out to every family on planet earth with children under the age of 10 but over the age of 3. It was an intelligence test to measure which humans exhibited the highest potential intelligence in the world. Those with mental and physical disabilities were excluded from this test. The individuals with a score of 200+ were gathered by several international space stations and were sent with various supplies to create a new and improved society on the moon and continue the once great human race. Out of the 10 billion people on earth at this time, only 100 were chosen to go. 50 with atypical female sex organs and 50 with atypical male sex organs. The

intentions of the ex-humans was not completely fulfilled. It is true that the chosen ones did indeed create a new and improved society, however, it was not our intentions to continue the old version of the human race. In the old model, humans would live until they were 100 or less and die of disease. Or they would wait till someone or something eventually killed them or they killed themselves. They created a society that thrived on death and destruction based on division. The ex-human race is not as great as they believed themselves to be.

WHO WE ARE

The Lunae Homines have since evolved into an elite race far more advanced than the original humans that inhabited earth. The things that hindered the society of the ex-humans do not affect us. We did away with gender, class, race, and any other dividing factors that created the violence and hostility seen on earth. The Lunae Homines have evolved to have the exact same pigment as one another. On the moon, the UV rays are far too harsh on are skin and due to the lack of other light in space,our bones would be brittle and our skin pale without the development of melanin pills. Melanin pills allow us to survive here on Earth’s moon while maintaining proper health. We are also a classless society. Currency was one of the first concepts that

was done away with The government here distributes all the needs the individuals on the moon. This includes food,water,melanin pills,shelter,ect. With this model, no one ever has too much or too little. Our society has destroyed the construct of sexuality and gender.Moon-wide asexuality was achieved by injecting each newborn with a chemical that blocks the dopamine receptors in the brain when they sense the chemicals related to sexuality and romance. This way when those feelings arise, there is no pleasurably reward to be sought after pursuing their desires. While we still have atypical ex-human sex organs, they are purely for reproductive exaction purposes. We harvested the sperm and eggs of those ready to reproduce and create life in our labs. “Sex� does not exist, it merely complicates the process. We do not see these processes as violent or corrupt, but as necessary to the preservation of life and order on the moon.

PROPOSAL TO THE COUNCIL OF INTERGALACTIC AFFAIRS

With the DNA that the we were able to salvage from ex-human cloning units back on earth; we have created an experiment to learn about ‘the old society’ in the best way possible: observation. We recreated a subsection of the ex-human world through our advanced research technologies. We have created a holographic projection of planet earth and isolated a single location to conduct our experiment on a place that was once called America (A-MARE-E-KA). America was known as a Democratic republic that was home to more than 1 billion ex humans. Back in the days of ‘the old society’, ex-humans foolishly divided themselves based on geographical location and called them ‘countries’ or in the singular form; country (CON-TREE). America was seen as one of the most powerful and influential countries on earth, what better place to study the ‘old society’? The goal of this proposal is to effectively educate the masses on why our society is what it is today. We must investigate our past to learn from our present and protect our future. America was one of the greatest examples of a society filled with the flaws of ex-human error, and we recreated the entire place in a holographic simulation of earth once again. It is here we have watched America throughout its history and learned from this society’s mistakes. It is within this research experiment that one will see what once was, and why we can never revert back.

Code of Ethics 1. No harm shall come to any human on the part of the Lunae Homine scientific community.

2. The scientific community must not interfere with the actions of any human during the experiment.

3. All data gathered shall only be used for educational and research purposes and must be reviewed by the Counsel of Intergalactic Affairs before releasing to the public 4. No one shall discuss the experiment unless the Council of Intergalactic Affairs authorizes said individual 5. No individual shall ask about the events that take place after the experiment. It concerns no one but the heads of the council.

6. Anyone who is found questioning the counsel and their decisions regarding the experiment shall be dealt with accordingly.

The Hologram The experiment takes place in a 5057 miles long and 62 miles high 3D holographic projection of earth. The scientist of the Lunae Homine community have spent several years prior to launching the experiment not only on everything there is to know about ex-humans and earth, but holograms as well. This technology was just beginning to be explored before the destruction of earth and was perfected by the Lunae Hominies. However, until now, there has never been a 3D hologram this large or inhabitable. This hologram can sustain as many people has the lifestyle of the new human’s society will allow it.

The simulation has been designed to fit the way the earth was before one of the most pivotal events in ex-human history called the “Industrial Revolution”. This period was described as a time of mass development of industrialization, technology, and change. However, it is also one of the main causes of the shift toward the downward environmental spiral that contributed to earth’s demise. In our simulation of earth, we wanted to start off with a “clean slate”; a relatively untouched version of earth with pristine oceans and vast forest in order to better record human impact on their environment.

We also included four seasons which existed on earth that had to do with the earth’s rotation around the sun. We aimed to make this experience as realistic as possible. However there are some modifications that needed to take place. We made the climate more extreme, for example- the north tends to be colder and farther from the sun simulator while the southern part of America has a more tropical climate and closest to the “sun”. We also altered time in the simulation. The experiment will take place over 100 year human time in the hologram yet it will only be one year for the Lunae Homine.

CULTURAL ANALYSIS

The Northerners: The Northern tribes have evolved to be of a much lighter skin tone regardless of their original ethnic makeups based off their harvested DNA. For example, one of ex-Asian decent, and ex-African descent could both have the same or similar skin color.

Gender is seen as a stagnant and predetermined trait of an individual. Gender in the North is a binary consist of only two genders that one is forced to conform to. If one does not conform to a specific binary, he is killed and thrown into the ocean. They are stringent defacto regulations on heteronormative societal norms in which a male and a female are the only sex allowed to mate or have romantic relations. Any other deviations from this are banished or killed depending on the number of offenses.

The Southerners: The people of the southern portion of America due to the geographical makeup of the country tend to be darker skinned.

Gender here is more fluid, there is no binary system. Sexuality is also fluid here. All sexualities and gender expressions are celebrated and appreciated in this society.

FINAL ANALYSIS The conflict between these two groups is a conflict of ideologies.

The two groups have two different ways of life and they have not learned to coexist. It is my observation that at the end of this experiment, both parties will have killed each other over hate, much

like the human society before them. It is clear to me now why the Lunae Hominies live as they do. A genderless, raceless, asexual society. This way they avoid the conflicts explored in the experiment. Humans are by nature evil creatures. This evil steams from some insatiable desire to conquer and be on top. No matter who it is, this is fact. Even the point of this whole experiment further perpetuates this idea. The point of the experiment is to prove why the Lunae Homine’s society is “the best”. And that, that desire to prove a point is what has the potential to ultimately end any society.

The theory that our universe is a 3D hologram was proposed by Leonard Susskind in 1994. Susskind theorized that "an image of data that can be stored on a two-dimensional projection much like a holographic image." It is proven that the “holographic principle” has the possibility to hold the universe. This theory is currently being tested at the Fermilab. There is no proof that the theory is correct.

The scientists are studying the “holographic principle” theory is through looking at the “afterglow” or the stray matter of the Big Bang theory. There is a vast amount of white noise and stray matter within the universe. This matter is the best evidence of the

holographic principle that scientist currently have. Many scientists are saying that this theory could further validate Einstein's quantum and gravity theories as well. It appears that it is a lot more likely than one may think.

Scientists have discovered that whenever something enters a black hole, it increases in surface area, not volume. This is an important discovery because not many objects in the universe that we know of do this. Instead of consuming matter, it sticks to the surface. This makes a black hole three dimensional while still technically being two dimensions. This is the same model of a basic hologram.

By investigating cosmic microwave background, scientists have been able to find a good amount of evidence to support the holographic principle theory. Cosmic microwave background is essentially the “leftovers” of the Big Bang theory. With all the evidence acquired, scientists believe they will be able to link together Einstein's quantum theory with gravity. Scientists have been searching for a connection for a long time and many believe the holographic principle to be the missing link. If the theory is proven to be true it has the potential to answer a lot of questions within the scientific community.

The Truman Show is a film about a man who discovers that his entire life is actually a live TV show for the public’s entertainment.

Truman, the main character's, whole life has been filmed without his consent or knowledge. This film was my primary source of inspiration for my project as it is one of my favorite movies. I borrowed the idea of creating a fake world similar to how Truman’s world takes place on a 3D set in Burbank studios except my world is a 3D hologram. The idea of a false reality has always been intriguing to

be and the Truman show has been instrumental in my project’s exploration of that idea.
