Prologue: “Behold now I am become death, destroyer of worlds”- Bhagavad Gita

Radiation levels on earth have already begun steadily increasing in the wake of the ending of the last world war. The world was already slowly spiraling to annihilation, then in year 2030 world renowned chemist and physicist Dr. William Quincy Royce discovered and created the deadliest weapon known to man, the annihilator. Which if used it held the power to wipe out an entire country, in the blink of an eye. Every country feared its power and wanted their hands on this deadly weapon, it was high in demand.

So per orders from the United States government Dr. Royce kept the formula on how to make the bomb, away from the public and prying eyes. Entire nations, countries, and governments from all corners of the world were in a state of uneasiness and fear of this newly built weapon.

For years the United States government ruled with sovereignty and an iron fist.

Much revere and contempt were held for the United States, until year 2040 when Dr. William Quincy Royce’s entire works were unearthed and vanished. The formula on how to make the annihilator, the chemical composition of the weapon, and the materials needed to make it were all stolen. The United States government began to become wary and weren’t able to get in front and control the situation. Rumors of the plans being leaked and stolen were everywhere, hostility began brewing between neighboring nations and countries. By the year 2055 every nation, country, and governmental body had their hands on both the blueprints for the creation of the annihilator and the weapon itself.

Years of countless bickering and banter along with continuous disdain, contempt, and aggression have built up and reached the surface and began overflowing and bursting forward. The earth become a living instrument and the living vessel for hate harbored in the hearts of men. The planet was at war within itself nation against nation, friend against foe, the earth became the grandest battlefield of all. The world we knew, the world we once loved would never be the same again. Once cheerful smiling and laughing faces, have now become hateful and sorrowful. By the year 2060 disputes continued and reached the concerns of the United Nations. Peace treaties were drawn up and each representative were forced to sign, if war broke out, with the technology and weaponry that we have now, the earth would not be able to survive such as catastrophe.

The treaty served as nothing more than reassurance for the United States government. With this in place they were free to do as they please and go unnoticed, without consequence or retribution from the other countries. The United States in secret created and built a spacecraft, that was self-sufficient, could sustain itself for close to 200 years in orbit, and held up unto 1 billion people. With a contingency plan in place, the United States were now free to act purely on self interest and self preservation.

WIthin 10 years time, the United States had all it needed and was ready to go to war against those who done them wrong. On October 20th, 2070, the United States sent troops to various places around the world and attacked without warning and started war.

Then on December 24th, 2070 the eve of christmas the United States fired the first missile and thus began the long and brutal age of armageddon that ravaged through the planet. The only countries who survived armageddon were: Australia, Brazil, United

States, United Kingdom, Uganda, Venezuela, Canada, China, France, India, Japan, and Russia.

Introduction: Skaikru (The sky people) It is now year 2200, it’s been almost 100 years since planet earth entered into the age of Armageddon. All that remains now of humanity now are the people who have been living in the A.R.K, the mothership space-station. The A.R.K is divided up into the following 12 space stations: Telsa (power station), Sky box (prison station), Mecha, Farm, Hydro, Factory, Arrow, Alpha, Argo, Medical, Earth Monitoring, Government and Science. Each station are comprised of the 12 countries that survived Armageddon and came together. The administrative council consists of one senior representative and one junior representative from each of the stations, while the chancellor is elected by the citizens and residents of each of the stations.

Rumor has it they are sending some of us down to the ground, resources are running scarce. Does this mean that ground is now safe for the remaining remnants of humanity to inhabit? Many things are kept a secret from the residents of the A.R.K, I do not know whether to believe and trust the chair anymore, or venture off on my own and find out what is going on. As I conducted my ethnographic work on the radioactive infested planet earth, my primary goal is to target and understand: the history of the age of Armageddon and what caused humans to live in space, examine the survival of the species of “homo-superiors” the (transcended), and analyze and identify the social and cultural structures in the new world. My work ended ultimately ended up with a primary focus on the cultural and social community of the “homo-superior” group, mostly people

of color who are either spiritual leaders or warriors, whom have found a way to recreate life for themselves and their communities in both different environments and under different circumstances.

The ark was the living vesicle for the remaining of humanity and these different parts and technological tools that are present within the arc are apart of the different stations and sections present within the ark

Field Notes:

Sunday, March 21th, 2020, Time: 7:15 AM eastern standard time (EST) Inside the Sky Box. Majority of the spacecraft is unoperational and some parts seems to have been lodged and buried underground. I wake up in a dark room to my head pounding, everything is spinning. A slither of bright light comes rushing into the room. I see exhaust values dented in spewing out hot air, wires are shot hanging everywhere, sparks going off in on. The spacecraft is in shambles, we must have gotten knocked off course in orbit and crash landed her, wherever here is. I touch my head and im bleeding, I unstrap myself and fall flat down face to the deck. You could hear the sounds of something creaking against the spacecraft. The helm doors airlock system releases

the automatic lock. As I walk down the ramp of the airlock doors a bright radiant light comes flooding through the craft, you can hear the sound of chirping in the air, you can feel the wind rippling through your clothes and across our skin. The air smells sweet, there is green everywhere, so much green. I would have never thought to see so much green in my life, especially after the age of Armageddon. Where radiation swept through the planet.

As I venture along and take in my surroundings, I notice the impact from the crash of the spacecraft to the surface, has opened up the ground where you see underneath layers of earth and topsoil. There are makeshift-fallout shelters and entrances to what like underground bunkers scattered all across and around the grounds. It is clear radiation levels had become so unbearable and deadly you couldn’t live above ground anymore. Refuge was taken underground to escape the spread of radiation. You see some remains of what appear and seem to be that of a human, right outside one of these makeshift shelters. Looks like whoever this person was they were not quick enough and did not make it in time to take shelter like everyone else and he died outside exposed to high dosages of radiation.

As I look around even further I see unmarked graves and find other remains, I personally become overwhelmed with great emotions of sadness and remorsefulness.

Thinking of how much they suffered and how they held onto dear life at their final moments. Some bones are missing, extra bones are added, and others have a completely different structure set-up from the rest, likes we have never seen before.

What could this be? How is this even possible? Were there other inhabitants on this plant? If so, where are they? and are there more of them out there? Suddenly I become

overwhelmed with curiosity, while looking at the remains I happen to see some remains that appeared to be different in structure. Just then I hear what seems to be some sort of animal call, I follow the sound and see what looks to be like a human, carrying something walking into a campsite. I keep my distance and scope out the area and low and behold, I find a community of what looks like other people. Who are these people?

And how did they survive the radiation? I set up a camp just outside theirs and keep my distance, making sure I do not intrude, there are so many things i wish to ask them. I’ll begin conducting my analysis, research, and interviews on this community tomorrow, to find out who or what these people are.

This is one of the makeshift shelters that the residents of this community live in and have put together after the radiation has swept through the remaining resources of the land There are other structural shelters that appear to be ruins but they are inhabited by these people as well. Some places more than are more put together than other ones I think they have to do with ones

Interviews: I began making my way up to the makeshift shelters and ruins, to begin my working on my analysis and interview of this community. Many of the villagers appear to be either training working on their swordsman ship and battle strategies, while others seem to be gathering up firewood and setting up what appears to be food. I make my way to the entrance of the campsite and I see a group of warriors and chanting going on, I try to enter through the side of the campsite. I slowly try and make my way up the side of the

campsite and am met by a group of warriors returning from a hunt, with spears and swords are pointed towards me. I am bound by the hands and have a hide of some sort placed over my head. I can hear chanting and yelling as I make my way to the village, I get pushed on my knees to the ground the hide is removed from my head. I am now in the presence of the chieftain lord of the village, and surrounded by a group of warriors. I try and explain to them I am from a colony in space and we have recently returned to the earth in hopes of re-inhabiting the planet. The group of warriors begin chanting and yelling while banging spears against the floor and clanging swords all around me, the chieftain lord raises his hand and they stop. She told them to steady their hand and be silent. I decided to ask if I could ask her a few about this colony and if he would mind if I take some notes. She said that would be okay and that doesn’t seem to be a problem, to me it seems that the chieftain lord is interested in what I have to say and wanted to talk to someone from the outside.

What is your name?

Chieftain Lord- My name is A’diah, the fifth Chieftain of the Trikru tribe, from the village hidden in the trees

What exactly is this campsite?

Chieftain Lord- This is a hidden campsite is apart and an extension of our hidden village. We come to this campsite whenever we need to stock up or gather on resources or whenever the need arises and the village has been compromised.

So, this campsite serves as a hideout in case of the village is compromised, what do you mean by that?

Chieftain Lord- In case the village is under siege or we are at war and the village is overtaken by another tribe, we would take refuge here

You mentioned another tribe, are there other villages around here?

Chieftain Lord- There are a total of 12 tribes within this area, there is: Trikru (wood), Azgeda (ice), Sankru (desert), Flokru (boat people), Yujleda (broadleaf), Ouskejon Kru (blue cliffs), Delfikru (delphi), Trishanakru (glowing forest), Podakru (lake people), Ingranronakru (plain riders), Boudalankru (Rock line), and Louwoda Kliron kru (shadow valley). Each village possess abilities, mutations, and attributes that are unique to their specific tribe.

Abilities? Mutations? Attributes? What type of abilities and attributes are we talking about?

Chieftain Lord- During the radiation epidemic not all of us were able to flee and find refuge, humanity is resorted to hiding underground, to try and avoid the radiation, some died in the process and others were changed by the radiation effects. The survivors from each of the remaining countries separated and went their own ways.

I know that the world was ravaged all across by radiation, and as a result some of humanity fled to space. The ones who escaped we took shelter in a space station, called the ARK, to live out the remainder of life, hoping to go back down to earth one day. But you mentioned survivors, how were you able to survive down here?

Chieftain Lord-The remaining humans that were left on earth took shelter underground in bunkers and makeshift shelters, to escape the steadily spreading radiation levels on earth. Radiation spread all through and across the planet affecting wildlife and vegetation around and it even seeped into some of the makeshift shelters and bunkers affecting the remaining humans left on earth. Food availability had become relatively scarce, most vegetation has become inedible, either becoming highly radioactive and toxic or rotten. The wildlife has been genetically altered, things such as: double heads, multiple legs, and atavisms. Drinking water has become polluted and is radioactively unstable and toxic. We had no choice but eat and drink that which was there to survive, in the process Human genetic material has been altered things such as: extra limbs, eyes (changes in color), and super physical abilities and Humans have transcended and are no longer homo-sapiens (saps) they are homo-superiors.

It seems that the remaining humans that were left on earth during the increased radiation levels, had evolved and transcended beyond the human state. They seemed to be human at first glance, but they are aren’t human the had abilities and attributes beyond my human comprehension and understanding. After the interview I was free to

go and roam around the campsite, I asked if I could talk to the chieftain lord again sometime, she said I could it wouldn’t be a problem.

Many of the abilities, mutations, and the attributes given to and or inherited to the different tribes, are due to both the natural selection and evolution. With the addition of radiation effects on the planet combined with the living conditions on the ground, the remainder of humanity that was left had evolved and transcended into something more, in order to survive and to thrive on the hazardous barren wasteland of earth.

Community: Majority of my world has been severely affected due to the increased levels of radiation. The human population(populace) have gone into hiding in underground bunkers, shelters, abandoned cities, and towns. Humanity has been wiped out and obliterated, the lucky ones who survived were poisoned and had their genetic make-up altered, they have transcended beyond humanity. Majority of the people who were left behind and were affected by this were men, while most females remained immune or resistant to this, due to increased levels of UV-B radiation in their bodies, allowing for alteration and recombinant DNA to be formed and created. The older women now have the active roles of the community such as: leaders, medics, and spiritual gurus. While

the remaining men and women are trained as warriors in order to protect their community.

Due to being somewhat immune and resistant to increased levels of radiation, women have been granted new found abilities that are unique to each individual. But they all can communicate to the ancestors and peek into near futures, allowing for them to control fate and destiny. Specific rituals and sĂŠances, talks and meetings with the dead, would require the use of totems or items imbued with the spirits of loved ones in order reach and connect with them to seek out guidance or closure. The wisdom, the love, and the protection of the ancestors are the building blocks and founding principles that help keep one rooted and grounded within the community.

Conclusion: Despite the inability to control what has happen to the world, vegetation and wildlife around them, the different tribes of the “homo-superiors� groups, although separate work in their respective communities to create a life for themselves. Not to say that there are various flaws and things that come along with being surrounded in and isolated in communities, but as these different tribes work independently, together they are trying to rebuild the world that once was. Beginning with the creation of a stable living conditions, the precuring of a water source, the implementation of irrigation and farming systems, along with trading and bartering systems. After the countless raging wars and the increase of radiation levels, that almost single handedly destroyed the earth, these groups of people were able to rebuild and create a stable and functioning community within themselves. Ultimately though after finding a place in this

barren wasteland of a world, on planet earth, these tribes now have a place they can be go to call home.
