Welcome to the 42nd annual KATCH Auction! We are here to celebrate Mardi Gras and what a great night it will be! We are honored and humbled to be a part of this very special evening. Tonight is an opportunity to celebrate and support the very worthy endeavors of Kennedy Catholic High School. Your auction team of volunteers has been hard at work to create this fabulous community event. This is a very exciting time in our school’s history. While we continue to preserve the strong values of Catholic education, we also strive to set new standards for the future. Our children benefit from a rigorous and dynamic curriculum that incorporates innovative teaching practices, student lead discussion and critical thinking, all while fostering academic excellence. Our students engage in service opportunities which cultivate intrapersonal growth and integrity. They are leaders in athletics, in the arts and in our greater community. They continue to enhance their spiritual development and relationship with God. Our vision has long been to build an athletic field that we can call home. This dream is now becoming a reality. Tonight you can fund this dream by raising your bid cards high. The new field will transform Lancer athletics and change the face of the campus forever. We are blessed to have so much to celebrate. From the President Dear Lancer Families, I am honored to welcome you to the 2014 KATCH Gala Auction! I hope your ‘Mardi Gras’ experience is memorable and inspiring. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and our students, I extend a heartfelt thank you for your support this evening as we raise critical funds to ensure Kennedy Catholic remains accessible to all deserving Lancers. We are grateful to the many generous individuals and businesses who contributed items for tonight’s silent and live auctions, and for our sponsors. We are very proud to be recipients of their support. Our deepest thanks to Tim & Christine Smith, our auction chairs, who have spent months behind the scenes, planning tonight’s great event. Raise Your Paddle Kennedy Catholic is excited to introduce the William F. Eisiminger Athletic Field! The Athletic Field project has been discussed and envisioned for nearly 50 years since the school’s inception. It has captured the excitement, support and spirit of countless community members, school families, future families, businesses, youth groups, alumni and donors. Seeing the dream of so many come to life has been an invigorating and enlightening experience. The field will be used for home practices and competitions in football, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, track and field, marching band, and P.E. The master plan for the athletic complex includes the athletic field, stadium seating, tennis courts, improvements to Faccone Field (baseball), a field house and weight room and more. Phase one of the complex is scheduled to begin this summer and completed in time for Fall Sports next school year! Phase one includes a turfed field, temporary seating, scoreboard, engineering, mechanical and structure work for the entire complex, and more! All the necessities to play home games next year! Be among the leaders in our community to make history at Kennedy Catholic and create the future of Lancer Athletics tonight!

4 Barrel-Aged New Orleans Cocktail The Parents Club has once again commissioned John Ueding, a nationally awarded mixologist and Crafts Spirits Manager at Click Wholesale Distributing, to create a two liter batch of a barrel-aged cocktails. This year’s cocktail, called a Vieux Carré, is a blend of premium rye whiskey, Cognac, sweet vermouth, Benedictine and bitters. Named after New Orlean’s French Quarter (a.k.a. Vieux Carré), this cocktail from the 1930’s is a lot like the French Quarter, it’s strong, fun, and a little bit crazy. This concoction has been harmonizing and gaining complexity since being barreled in March. The lucky bidder will get a round for the table served on ice and garnished with a cherry, then take home the remainder of the barrel. The entire barrel starts out containing about 45 drinks. The cocktail will continue to gain complexity as it ages. Live 16 Raise Your Paddle Kennedy Catholic is excited to introduce the William F. Eisiminger Athletic Field! The Athletic Field project has been discussed and envisioned for nearly 50 years since the school’s inception. It has captured the excitement, support and spirit of countless community members, school families, future families, businesses, youth groups, alumni and donors. Seeing the dream of so many come to life has been an invigorating and enlightening experience. The field will be used for home practices and competitions in football, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, track and field, marching band, and P.E. The master plan for the athletic complex includes the athletic field, stadium seating, tennis courts, improvements to Faccone Field (baseball), a field house and weight room and more. Phase one of the complex is scheduled to begin this summer and completed in time for Fall Sports next school year! Phase one includes a turfed field, temporary seating, scoreboard, engineering, mechanical and structure work for the entire complex, and more! All the necessities to play home games next year! Katch Auction Rules By bidding in the live or silent auction, each bidder agrees to these auction rules. 1. Upon entry each guest will be given a bid paddle. Each person issued a bid paddle assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising there from Kennedy Catholic High School, its elected and appointed officials, members and employees, the auctioneer, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction. SILE NT AU CT I ON : Write your bid number on the silent auction bid sheet next to the amount you wish to bid. You may not write in amounts; you must use the amounts listed on the bid sheet. No bidder may block access to the bid sheets. Place your bid and step back from the bid sheet. The bid number next to the highest bid amount will be declared the purchaser of that item. GU AR ANTE E D B ID S : If you wish to guarantee your purchase
of a particular item, write you bid number on the line at the bottom of the bid sheet designated “Guaranteed Bid”. By doing so, you agree to pay the “Guaranteed Bid” amount and that item is yours. TA B LE CLOS I NG: All items on the silent auction tables may be
bid upon until the tables are officially closed by the judges. Persons in process may complete writing their bid. In the event of a dispute, the closing judge or designated silent auction official will determine the winning bid. The official’s decision will be final. If there are two or more bidders actively bidding on an item at the time the table closes, they may notify a silent auction official and request a mini-oral-auction. continued

form, and designated by the silent auction official as the top bid, is a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item. Live Auction: Bidders should be seated before the live portion of the auction begins. Raise your paddle high in the air, facing the direction of the auctioneer so the auctioneer can clearly see your bid number. After the last paddle has been raised, the auctioneer will announce the item SOLD and will move to the next item. A bid acknowledged by the live auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item; an auction official will bring you a form to sign acknowledging your purchase. In the event of a dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole discretion to determine the winning bid or to re-offer the item in dispute. 2. Kennedy Catholic High School has, in good faith, attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly, but all items are offered as is, where is. The school neither warrants nor represents, and in no event will be responsible for, the correctness of description, authenticity, authorship, provenance or condition of the items. No statement contained in the catalog or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability. 3. Values set on items at the auction are only estimates and not warranted by the school for tax purposes or fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. 4. KATCH reserves the right to withdraw or add any item from sale, without notice, prior to the call for bids. 5. Unless otherwise noted, all goods, services or certificates must be claimed and used within one year of the date of the auction.

6. Reservations, accommodations, events, and the like, must be mutually arranged upon with the donor unless otherwise noted. Tickets in travel packages are for coach class services unless otherwise noted. No refunds, for any reason, will be given for cancelled or unused events, travel packages and/or accommodations. 7. All purchases are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on items for any reason. No item may be returned to the donor. 8. All items must be removed from the school by the end of the auction, unless other arrangements have been made. 9. Any purchased item unclaimed after 30 days will become the property of the KATCH Office unless prior arrangements have been made. 10. A written or oral bid at KATCH constitutes a legal contract to buy the item. All sales are final. In case of disputes, the decision of the KATCH official is final. 11. KATCH and the auctioneer reserve the right to reject any bid which is a partial advance over the prior bid increment. 12. All items must be paid for the night of the auction. Payment by a successful bidder may be made no sooner than 30 minutes after the closing of a silent bid and no sooner than 10 minutes after the closing of a live bid. Payment may be made by cash/check or credit card. 13. Items may be removed from the building only by exhibiting a receipt from the KATCH Bank to security.
