Cikini is where people can freely express their creativity because many universities are located near this area. However, sometimes it is hard for students to find a decent, healthy and comfortable place to stay, especially for international students. This project aims to provide a place where international students can live comfortably in a suitable environment near the Ciliwung River.

The programs are two types of rooms, a laundry room, a study hall, shops, and a multipurpose space. People also could access this building through the elevated pedestrian. Furthermore, this building is located in a residential area, making users feel more comfortable living among neighbors, and students are encouraged to use bicycles because there is no car lane in front of the building.

The view faces towards the Ciliwung River, the east side of the building. The facade also has louvers and vegetation to prevent sunlight from entering the rooms directly.

The main lobby has an opening in the middle to create a gathering space where people can meet to encourage a sense of community. The student hall also overviews the Ciliwung River.

Room Interior Render

Every room has a window so users can get sunlight and air directly from their room. The space provides a bed, wardrobe, study table, and restroom for each occupant. Room A (1 person)

EXTERIOR VIEW

This building has two cores with two elevators and an emergency staircase. The first level will be open to the public, and level three and above only for tenants. This building aims to become a place where people can breathe fresh air through good circulation. That is why there are many openings, and every room has access to a functional window.

DUA DENTAL CARE

Dua Dental Care is a dental practice that wants to create an ambiance where the patient feels comfortable before the procedure. The site is a fourstory shop with an area of 40m2. The dental practice will use only the first two stories: a waiting room, two dental rooms, one changing room, and a preparation area. The concept aims to bring a sense of cleanness and calm to the design.

The shelf stores dental equipment and acts as the area to prepare it before treatment. It needs to be clean and ergonomic simultaneously to make the process more effective and efficient.

House plants have become popular nowadays because they act as an air purifiers inside a room. Also, it has become a trend to have houseplants as interior accessories. Furthermore, this place would also become a pocket of nature in Menteng and located directly from Taman Menteng.

Not only because the site is strategic but also because it has the potential for people after visiting other shops or from Taman Menteng. This program will also allow users more experience while visiting the park, and this place will supply people who live around area that collect houseplants as a hobby.

FORM DEVELOPMENT

The building is located at the corner of the road. Pedestrians will have total exposure to the inside, and morning sunlight will directly access the greenhouse.

The greenhouse is located on the north side of the building to protect against direct sunlight from the west. During the day, users will feel comfortable hanging out in the greenhouse.

YU JIN PARK (유진 공원)

Eugene Mansion was a luxurious apartment at that time. Indeed, many of the early tenants were in high-level positions. There are two separate buildings; now, only one is the apartment, and the other is a shared campus. Ninety-four households were torn down and demolished 4th and 5th floors. Unfortunately, the building with the condo forced residents to leave due to noise pollution. The purpose of this project was to renovate it.

MASS The rigid repetitive

In this studio, students are encouraged to create a functional public space using an existing building that used to be a luxury apartment and shopping center. The space must embrace the users in the area because of the lack of public space. The site itself is in the middle of a busy road and used to be a river. However, unfortunately, the stream was demolished during the construction process.

PENETRATION

MASS building is very and has a repetitive structure.

PENETRATION plan is to make users able to penetrate through building.

ORGANIZATION

Organize some mass without ruining the structure and makes functional.

SUNKEN adding some basement access and ground entrance.

GREEN POCKETS park will be connected to every program.

FINAL FORM program is placed based on the space needed, and will it interact each other.

Yujin shopping center is located above the Hongjae Stream. and preserve the building structure while combining it with pieces to enhance the

Stream. The concept is to open up the slab that covers the floor with new material. The main idea was to create fragmented the aesthetic value.

INTERIOR RENDER

The final form creates a building with pockets or fragmented parks inside and outside the building. Users can view the stream from their office while walking in the building.
