TerraZen Just as the root of all art emerged from earth and mud, the project aims to be an absolute embodiment of art from skin to core, and blur the boundaries between nature and education.
Shaded during winter Shaded during summer
Introducing the concept of open learning through pockets of shaded green outdoor learning spaces
Play of levels that create a visual hierarchy, and connect the naturally ascending contours
The rotation of a potter’s wheel is translated into the dynamic, shape-shifting nature of the building. Crafted terracotta panels attached by hinges move rhythmically along vertical mullions to create a kinetic, climatically responsive facade.
A Central axis created along the length of the site, accentuated by creating a waterline connecting the front with the rear end containing natural boulders

Symmetry within planning is informed by the patterns of the ‘Lippin art’, a traditional mud craft of India
Site view
The design mainly consists of studio spaces, workshop spaces, and the admin blocks containing the auditorium, library, computer labs, craft exhibit spaces, and faculty rooms. A central axis is created by a linear waterbody connecting the grand entry way to the viewing deck at the rear end. An elevation of ascending platforms provides a framed picturesque view of the dynamic facade.
Courtyards bringing in natural ventilation and light act as a recreational spatial connector
10 Front Elevation
The studio spaces are versatile double heighted volumes with mezzanine level classrooms connected by sky walks. Each studio and workshop space is interwoven with green outdoor pockets that serve as a spill-over space, encouraging outdoor learning. The V-shaped roof is designed to create a natural waterfall feature during rains. The dynamic facade can be adjusted according to the desired sun penetration, and offers a unique stature to the built, creating an internal play of light through it’s patterned jaali terracotta panels.

Landscape Elements The landscaped public zone is a carefully curated interactive space bringing in elements of earth, nature, and shallow waters, seamlessly into the design The viewing deck, built around the existing rocky terrain at the highest point of the site gives a panaromic view of the entire stretch evoking a sensational experience.
Evaporational cooling techniques are used as a sculptural tool in public zones like the open cafeteria to induce a cool microclimate on site using the prevalent wind directions.
13
Sunken pits with seating that act as interactive nodes that are made of mud plaster.
The design focuses on creating an organic free-flowing landscape with decks and accentuated patches of earth and greens.

Elementrix
A children’s science center design nurturing creativity and curiosity
Fluid Architecture Innovative and interactive spaces Site area: Site location: Semester: Softwares used:
3.1 acres Bannerghatta, Bangalore, Karnataka 5th semester
16
In this visionary design for a children’s science center, inspiration is drawn from the fundamental elements that define our world: Earth, Water, Air, and Space. Each element serves as a guiding force in shaping the exhibits within the center. To bring this concept to life, the design embraces fluidity, employing organic volumes and forms that seamlessly interconnect the spaces. Curved lines and dynamic shapes evoke a sense of movement and energy, mirroring the ever-changing nature of science itself. This design emphasizes the importance of engaging with the elements in a tactile and immersive manner, inspiring young learners to appreciate the wonders of the natural world and the mysteries of the cosmos.

Anne with an ‘E’ Anne Shirley, the endearing protagonist of “Anne with an E” is a character brimming with exuberance, resilience, and vibrant imagination. A space designed for her would have to embody her spirit and nurture her insatiable curiosity.
An abode with a floor to ceiling library and magnificent windows, fuelling her love for literature and opening up her views to the horizons. The space also has a mud room to leave her adventure boots and coat behind as she enters the farmhouse inspired home.
The ability to see beauty in the ordinary, makes Anne a captivating character.

On site workers are expected to segregate themselves behind small gated enclaves. Their commune displays overcrowding and insecure residential status resulting in substandard living. Situated in a construction site in the south of bangalore, the design intends to provide homes for these working labourers.
41 - COMPETITION - Deployable Modular Design - collaborative work

ANDC 2021-22
AVASA- Independent , free An abode to return to after a tiresome day, not just a shelter to protect from the scorching sun and the monstrous rain but a haven that houses their identity. The designed deployable and portable structure manifects similar qualities, enabling adaptation to the surrounding conditions
42
HUDCO TROPHY 2021-22 The fishing village, Chellanam, in Kerala is hit by adverse climatic conditions often throughout the year which deteriorates their living conditions. The solutions advocated by the government involve schemes and strategies which require rehabilitation or evacuation of the people residing near the coastline. This results in loss of land, house, employment and community spirit. The aim of the design proposal is to address these issues and provide a modular, sustainable, and economical solution to prevent rehabilitation and provide housing in the same region.

GSEN TROPHY 2022-23 Water-less or Water-more “Design radical ideas for extreme scenarios” Illustrative Postcard designs as a part of the expression of project visuals for a design catering to innovative ideas that mitigate the risk of flooding, and climate change .
URBAN DOCUMENTATION Role of architecture in shaping the urban fabric “A case of Devaraja Urs market and Lansdowne building”
An extensive urban documentation of the pricinct containing the Deveraja Urs Market and Lansdowne building in Mysore, Karnataka. As a part of the Capacity mapping group, we were responsible for the generation of various maps and conducting thorough urban analysis of the same.
