In the last month, my office has been buzzing with tons of new responsibilities and new activities-all in response to the hailstorm of 2026. Can you believe that was two months ago? Think back to the day you brought home your firstborn child. I bet at some point in that first month you looked at your spouse and said something along the lines of, ‘This pace has been relentless lately, every hour is spoken for, plans change without warning, and uninterrupted downtime is a distant memory.’ Or how about this one, ‘My calendar is in full newborn mode: chaos punctuated by brief moments of hope’. With God’s grace and sufficiency, we are making it through this chaos.
Continue to pray for favor regarding our insurance claim, contractor scheduling, good weather, and material availability. Continue to look up at your ceilings. We need to know immediately if you see a new stain or water spot. Send us a work order, email, or call the main number to let us know as soon as possible (417-833-0016). Did you know that this past June was recorded as the wettest June in the last 20 years?

On Thursday, September 3 we will take the bus to the College of the Ozarks to have lunch at the Keeter Center, situated just outside of Branson in the natural landscape of the Ozark Mountain Region. Enjoy a fine dining experience, and explore the many sights and points of interest on the campus such as the Edwards Mill and General Store, W. The Community Center Dining Room is serving a buffet lunch each Wednesday. The buffet is available 11:30AM-1PM and the cost is only $5 per person. Babe Ruth made his major league pitching debut on July 11, 1914, as a member of the Boston Red Sox. Standing on the mound at Fenway Park, the 19 year old lefthanded pitcher was primarily known for his pitching prowess before becoming an iconic slugger. In this debut game against the Cleveland Naps (now known as the Cleveland Guardians), he showcased his potential by allowing only two runs over seven innings, leading his team to a 4-3 victory. This game marked the beginning of Ruth’s storied career in Major League Baseball, where he would go on to redefine the sport with his powerful hitting and charismatic personality. While he eventually became more celebrated for his batting, Ruth's early years as a pitcher laid the groundwork for his eventual transformation into the “Sultan of Swat” and legendary status in baseball history.
It has been a true blessing to serve the people of Maranatha for the past 2 ½ years. I love getting to know people, building meaningful connections, & helping others discover the joy of being part of the Maranatha family. I have been blessed to share my life with my wife, Jennifer, for 29 years. Together, we have 3 grown children: Chasidy, Keri, & Jonathan. We have 2 grandchildren, Raelynn & Jaxtyn. Jonathan has severe autism & holds a very special place in our family story. Our home is also made brighter by our two fur babies, chihuahuas, Piper & Denver. Some of my favorite moments are spent with my family, especially when we are camping together.
