This winter has certainly been eventful hasn’t it. The recent snowstorm brought the most snow fall I’ve seen in one occurrence in a very long while. I read that Springfield received nearly 6 inches. When that much snow falls it would test even the more experienced snow removal companies of northern states. So, I would like to thank our crew for coming in early and staying late on those days when we really needed them and doing a great job. I know some of you would say we could have done it better or we should have done it differently but let me emphasize our staff moved A LOT of wet, heavy snow. There is no way to practice for such an occurrence, so experience is the best practice. So, days after the storm, Paul and I evaluated the work, reviewed the critics comments and have strategized how or what might be done differently SHOULD we get a second storm this year.We have even acquired one more piece of equipment to facilitate snow removal in smaller areas. This new equipment will help us around vehicles and on sidewalks, making it easier and safer around narrow areas and in parking lots.
Do you have renter’s insurance? It is not a condition for moving here to MV, however, I am highly suggesting that you purchase some. Renter's insurance is a policy that protects your personal belongings in case of damage, theft, or loss due to incidents like fire, water damage, or burglary. It also covers liability if someone gets injured in your rented home. This insurance is affordable and can give you peace of mind, knowing that you're financially protected for unexpected events. If you're renting a home or apartment, having renter's insurance is a smart way to safeguard your possessions and avoid potential financial strain.
Please consider placing Maranatha Village in your Will. We are constantly faced with capital projects to replace or improve our facilities and equipment. Any contribution of any size DOES really matter. Thank you for prayerfully considering this. God Bless.

LIBRARY BLURB
HEADING
This past month, we added several new fiction books, including 7 legal suspense books by Robert Whitlow, a couple of large print books, and the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. We have also added quite a few new puzzles, and organized the puzzles a little differently. If you use a table in the puzzle room to assemble a puzzle, when you finish the puzzle, please put it back in its box within a day or two, so that the table is clear for the next puzzle. And, whether you do puzzles there or at home, as you are putting a puzzle back in its box, please check the floor for pieces that may have fallen. And remember to put the box on the return shelf when you bring it back. Many Thanks!

Valentine’sDayCards
Valentine's Day cards have evolved significantly through the decades, reflecting societal changes, artistic trends, and advancements in printing technology. In the early 1900s, cards were often elaborate, featuring intricate lace patterns and floral designs, symbolizing the romanticism of the era. The 1920s and 1930s saw a shift towards more stylized and colorful designs, influenced by the Art Deco movement. By the mid-20th century, with the rise of commercialism, cards became more massproduced and accessible, often incorporating pop culture references and humor. The 1970s and 1980s embraced vibrant colors and bold graphics, aligning with the exuberant spirit of those decades. Today, Valentine's Day cards range from traditional, heartfelt messages to modern, minimalist designs, with digital
