APRIL CRENSHAW

FROM THE BISHOP’S DESK
DR. TONY COOPER ADMINISTRATIVE BISHOP

Dear Pastors and Ministers,
The Spirit of Revival has come to the South Georgia Church of God Campground, with the new Tabernacle at the epicenter of every move of God we ’ ve experienced already in 2025! From Prayer Conference to Women’ s Conference, and Camp Meeting to Youth Camp, we have witnessed God saving souls, healing hearts, performing miracles and encouraging the saints. Kathy and I are so honored and blessed to have a front-row seat to all that God has done. The greatest part is this: He is just getting started!
During Prayer Conference, our pastors were equipped with words of inspiration and essential ministry training. Women’ s Conference was top-notch in every way, with over 1,600 women filling the Tabernacle to capacity. Camp Meeting attendance crowded the floor every night, and Youth Camp had more than 1,250 students in four weeks. At every turn, we were met with dynamic and anointed speakers and worship leaders who connected people to God.
This is why we rebuilt the Tabernacle. It has reminded us that we are still better together. Every dollar raised, and every drop of sweat poured, over the past few years helped make these life-changing moments on the Campgrounds possible. It shows what can happen when men and women come together to build the House of the Lord!
And, it’ s not just happening on the Tifton campus. We have seen first-hand God reviving and growing our churches throughout South Georgia. God has added so many members to our churches, we have achieved Five-Star Status with more than 50,000 members for the very first time. That is something to celebrate as we continue to fill heaven!
This is a testament to the power of God, and the faithfulness of our pastors, leaders and laity at the local church. You have toiled through the night, you have planted seeds, and we are now reaping a harvest together. There is no filling the Tabernacle if our local churches aren ’t filling their buildings first.
We thank you for helping make the South Georgia Church of God a place of Revival, and we pray for Revival to continue to spread throughout the land!
CAMP MEETING 2025

No COVID mandates. No rented facilities. And, no more waiting to come home.
South Georgia Camp Meeting is back where it belongs, at the heart of the Tifton Campground, and how sweet it’s been!
The sights and sounds in the new Tabernacle were life changing for four days in early June. The worship? Heavenly. The preaching? Anointed. The teaching? Inspirational. The people? Blessed.
“The past few years have been a journey like no other in our history,” Administrative Bishop Tony Cooper said on opening night. “We celebrate, not only our faith, but our resilience as a community.”

“EACH MOMENT WE SHARE IS A TESTAMENT TO GOD’S FAITHFULNESS AND THE ENDURING SPIRIT OF THIS CHURCH FAMILY.”
DR. TONY COOPER
Evening speakers Dr. Tim Hill, Dr. T Wayne Dority, Bishop Shea Hughes and Pastor Mo Huggins preached on messages that touched hearts in unique yet interlocked ways. Labels were lost, Pentecost was felt, and a generation of students – from the mass choir to the back row – answered the call. Camp Meeting is back, and South Georgia will never be the same.

Administrative Bishop Dr Tony Cooper and the audience honor ministers during Camp Meeting’s Memorial Service

Congratulations, South Georgia, on achieving Five-Star Status in the Church of God with more than 50,000 members!
This historic milestone is a testament to the faithfulness and labor of our pastors and local churches. We thank God for each of you as we grow the Kingdom together!

In a remote village among the Masai tribe of Kenya, children journey long distances daily through the bush, past dangerous wildlife, and in remote areas looking for a better future. These vulnerable children of the Masai tribe live in mud huts, have no electricity, and even lack the basic supply of clean water. Many of the children have faced neglect, abuse, malnutrition, and a life without a real future Unfortunately, they have found themselves trapped in a vicIous cycle of hopelessness as they struggle to break free from a dark past.
Thankfully, in the middle of what seems like a never ending struggle for so many children, Linda’s Kids Academy and the Good Shepherd Fellowship Church have been making a difference in the lives children who are looking for more than an education, they are looking for hope. These children are hearing the message of Jesus Christ, being fed physically and spiritually, and dreaming of a future that once seemed impossible.
Now, thanks to YWEA26, God is expanding the mission in Kenya and making the impossible, possible. Through Church of God Youth Missions, this project will build a Nursing School that will greatly impact the medical and educational needs for generations to come. These children will now be given a path forward to make a substantial difference in their village as they share the love of Christ.

In John 4:35, Jesus told His disciples, “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest?’… Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest ”
Jesus just had an encounter with a sinful Samaritan at the well of Jacob outside the city of Sychar. When Jesus revealed who He was to her, she ran into the city and told everyone that He must be the Christ. The people of the city hastened to see this man. While the people approached the well, Jesus told His disciples to lift up their eyes and look at the fields, for they were already white and ripe for harvest Jesus had come to Samaria intentionally to see this sinful woman (John 4:4) and to share the gospel with the people of Sychar He did so with urgency He recognized the time was NOW. The harvest was ready, and He impressed upon His disciples the urgency of the mission to reach the harvest of people who were lost and held captive by the power of sin.
There is a great harvest all around us. Time is short. People are passing into eternity without Jesus every day We must see the need clearly We must be intentional We must do all we can to reach the harvest NOW “Behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation ” (II Corinthians 6:2)
Let us stand with a clear voice and declare the gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in crisis. The harvest is ready. The time is NOW.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS.

MARIA WHITE GIRL’S MINISTRIES COORDINATOR

Hi, South Georgia Church of God! It’s been a while since our Go Girl: Girls Weekend Out in April! I want to say thank you to all the churches who supported our event and participated. The overnight event was a huge success with 465 girls and women attending. Our time included a full Girls/Women’s live worship team with a dynamic word and a time of crafting, lantern send off and so much more. We had such a wonderful time!
With that being said, a goal of mine is to challenge you to help us get to 500 attending our next Girls event, April 17-18, 2026. The event is titled “Tea for Two.” At Tea for Two, we will focus on an intimate time with Christ. We will have a true Tea Party, dressing up and all. I hope that you will mark your calendars and save that date on your church calendars and join us for our event on Friday evening and Saturday morning/afternoon.
Along with celebrating our Girls event, I’m also thankful for the new women who became certified in the Girls Ministries program. If you would like to become certified, we will be holding training sessions come September. The cost will be $35 per person. More information will be available on our South Georgia Girls Ministries Facebook Page and we will be sending out information by email to all pastors and pastor’s wives with the training dates. I truly hope to see you then. Thank you all for your support! I look forward to all that God is going to do in the lives of the Girls of South Georgia.
