Your child’s STUDENT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (found on their class schedule). Only currently enrolled SFS students are eligible for registration in the SFS Summer Seoulstice program. COURSE CODES for the camps in which you wish to register your child. Please ensure you register for the correct session dates as most camps are offered in more than one week of the summer program. International or Korean International Master Card or Visa, if paying by credit card online. Online credit card payments will be charged in US dollars only.

REGISTRATION When completing the online registration process, be sure you complete these four steps: 1. Personal information: Please provide information about the child you are registering. You will have the opportunity later in the process to add additional children. 2. Agenda: select the specific camps you wish to register for. 3. Check-out: Below are some details to note.  Enter your International or Korean International credit card information or chose to pay in US Dollar or Korean Won at the SFS Business Office. Credit cards cannot be accepted in the Business Office.  Click FINISH YOUR REGISTRATION at the end of this step or your registration will not be submitted. 4. Confirmation:  If paying in cash, print 2 copies of your invoice to bring to the Business Office with your payment.  One copy will be kept and the other will be stamped as your receipt.  You will receive an email confirmation immediately upon completing these steps.  If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact the Summer Program Director.

PAYMENT For each registration, there is a non-refundable 15% registration fee included in each camp fee plus the $10 Event Fee. This is necessary to cover the administrative costs of the Summer Seoulstice program. This fee will only be waived if a student is waitlisted and does not get to participate in any of the camps he/she has registered for or if there selection is cancelled. Payment is made by International Master Card or Visa or Korean International Master Card or Visa paid in US Dollars online at the time of registration, or in cash (Korean Won or US Dollars) at the Business Office, no later than June 7, 2013, 3pm. Failure to pay course fees by this due date may invalidate your child’s registration for any camps in which he or she is registered. Any waitlisted registrations will then take priority. Fees for off-campus travel and service trips will have different deadlines and fee totals and will be communicated through the Course Instructor. Once again: Please note that online credit card payments can only be made in US Dollars as they are processed through RegOnline, a US company administering the Summer Seoulstice registration program.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION Summer 2013 LATE FEE & REGISTRATION A late fee of $25.00 or 27,000 KRW will be assessed for all registrations beginning June 10, 2013. Registration will remain open until August 6, 2013. However, online registration will be deactivated as of June 10, 2013. Late registration will take place on-campus beginning June 10, 2013.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY Each course has a minimum number of participants required. Should this minimum not be met by May 11, 2013, the course will be cancelled at the discretion of the Director. Notice will be sent to all registered participants as early as possible so they may register for another course if desired. If a course is cancelled due to low enrollment, full refund will be returned or applied to a new course option of like value. If a participant withdraws/cancels their registration for any camp or course prior to May 10, 2013, refund of any course fee paid, less the 15% non-refundable registration fee will be granted as stated above. However, if any participant withdraws/cancels their registration, or drops out of the camp or course after May 10, 2013, there will be NO reimbursement.

All refunds will be made in Korean Won (cash or bank transfer) regardless of the form of original payment.  

 

No refunds will be issued as of May 10, 2013 Seoul Foreign School reserves the right to deny registration and/or withdraw a student from any programming or activity, especially in the event of continuous unacceptable or disruptive behavior. In this event there will be no refund for any remaining classes.

LUNCH   Lunch is included Camp SFS students. A d d i t i o n a l l y , Lunch is also included for students who attend either a fullday course or two back-to-back half-day courses. Students enrolled in one half-day course can purchase lunch on a per day basis for 7,000 KRW each day. Payment is to be made to the Summer Seoulstice Director or Assistant Director directly. Exact fees are appreciated. If a half-day student knows they will purchase lunch, notification and payment can be made in advance and is preferred. Camp SFS and full-day students, instructors, and staff will take priority over pay-per-day lunch purchases. SFS has contracted with J&J Catering to provide lunch for all students. Camp SFS students will have their own separate lunch scheduled with their Counselors, Instructors and fellow campers. A balanced lunch will be served in the Cafeteria.  

BUSSING  

Bussing will be available through the summer on a weekly fee basis if there is substantial need. Busses will travel to central locations in the areas of request. Bussing will be registered via RegOnline and must be booked for each week of travel and at least one week prior to the start of the requested start date. Once transportation requests have been registered via RegOnline, bus routes will be coordinated through Ms. Jin-Ju Lee, Transportation Department Assistant, and Mr. Lim, Manager of the Transportation Department. Ms. Lee will provide Transportation Department assistance through the summer program. Transportation will be provided at the beginning and end of each full day.

Camp SFS is a day camp that gives student participants the opportunity to spend each day with their friends and a Camp Counselor as they travel between daily activities provided by experienced and qualified Seoul Foreign School teachers and upper classmen. Each week the students will experience and explore many exciting hands-on activities including “Imagineering,” “Whacky Science,” “Olympic Wonderland,” games, arts and crafts, music, story-time, dance, drama, computer fun, organized sports, instructional swim and recreational swim. Students will also explore campus “nature” areas and trails. We provide American Red Cross Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructed Swim Instructors when utilizing the pool. Description: The aim of the IB Extended Essay Summer Program is to provide an opportunity for IB Diploma students to work on the requirements of their Extended Essay. The Extended Essay is a 4000 word research paper on a topic chosen from a prescribed list of IB subjects (as documented in the EE Student Handbook). The first draft of the paper is due in the second week back to school in August 2013. Students participating in the EE Summer Program will: • Learn the research skills necessary to complete an essay of this rigor and depth. • Review MLA citation and apply these skills to referencing their essay. • Utilize the library resources and computer lab to write their essay. Any students wishing to write an essay in Science will have access to science laboratories to conduct their experiments. Materials: Bring your laptop, research sources, the EE outline and all research notes.

We will focus on the mental aspects of the game because without this a player cannot perform the physical aspect. We guarantee that your knowledge, understanding, and execution of the fundamentals will make you a confident and successful player. But most important is that we guarantee a Fun and Positive experience.

SPRT 103 Mr. Aaron Jefferd Aquatics Center 9–17 years of age 1 & 2 (this is a two-week camp that runs Monday-Friday both weeks - each session is registered separately) Half Day: Morning Session only - 7:15am - 8:45am Cost: US$190.00 or 225,000KRW Minimum: 6 Maximum: 20 (Limited to 20 participants to allow for maximum personal attention from the instructor) Description: The SFS Swim Camp will focus on all of the skills a competent swimmer needs - all four strokes (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Free-style) starts, turns, and finishes. Instruction will provide personalized attention to each swimmer's strengths and weaknesses. Swimmers will focus on correcting and refining their techniques and skills to improve their weaknesses. Swimmers will also participate in swimming-related dry-land exercises including daily stretching. If students wish, information will be shared on ways to improve swimming outside the pool including nutrition, flexibility, sleep habits and strength training.

Description: This camp takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one funfilled camp. All aspects of the game are through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting, and serving. This program is designed for the female high school beginner and intermediate player and will incorporate essential life lessons such as teamwork and sportsmanship. The camp will focus on assisting each athlete in developing the core skills of the game through game-speed drills and daily scrimmages aimed at developing the whole player. The camp is aimed at intermediate ability level and will focus on developing a young player by refining her skills through fast-paced drills, skill-building exercises, and game-speed scrimmages in a more competitive environment. Emphasis is placed on mastering the rules and etiquette of the game. Though not essential for participation in the camp, the player should have a basic understanding of the game and its skills.

Each week the students will experience and explore many exciting hands-on activities including “Imagineering,” “Whacky Science,” “Olympic Wonderland,” games, arts and crafts, music, story-time, dance, drama, computer fun, organized sports, instructional swim and recreational swim. Students will also explore campus “nature” areas and trails. We provide American Red Cross Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructed Swim Instructors when utilizing the pool. Camp SFS is a day camp that gives student participants the opportunity to spend each day with their friends and a Camp Counselor as they travel between daily activities provided by experienced and qualified Seoul Foreign School teachers and upper classmen. Each week the students will experience and explore many exciting hands-on activities including “Imagineering,” “Whacky Science,” “Olympic Wonderland,” games, arts and crafts, music, story-time, dance, drama, computer fun, organized sports, instructional swim and recreational swim. Students will also explore campus “nature” areas and trails. We provide American Red Cross Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructed Swim Instructors when utilizing the pool. BUSSING  

Bussing will be available through the summer on a weekly fee basis if there is substantial need. Busses will travel to central locations in the areas of request. Bussing will be registered via RegOnline and must be booked for each week of travel and at least one week prior to the start of the requested start date. Once transportation requests have been registered via RegOnline, bus routes will be coordinated through Ms. Jin-Ju Lee, Transportation Department Assistant, and Mr. Lim, Manager of the Transportation Department. Ms. Lee will provide Transportation Department assistance through the summer program. Transportation will be provided at the beginning and end of each full day.
