AAs at an A district
Greenbrier High School grads Rylee Brawley, left, and Jayda Tipton were two of the 28 students (out of a class of 258) who graduated with an associate of arts degree. They both will start college with a big head start and plan to double major. Many other students are taking concurrent credit classes, all taught on campus by high school teachers like Misty Burgess, center, with master’s degrees in the relevant content areas. Students can start earning college credit in the ninth grade. The program is one reason Greenbrier was rated an A district in the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Arkansas School Performance Report Card.
