Three hometowns, one home district How does a consolidated school district composed of three rural communities in the state’s southwest corner produce three “A” schools and two “B” schools? It helps that Emerson Taylor Bradley has committed educators like 49-year math teacher LaJuan Cannon and Superintendent David Downs. It’s not just in academics that the district excels. Taylor and Bradley played each other in the softball state finals last year in a game won by Taylor. In some sports, like trap shooting, everybody plays on the same team. The rural district may be remote, but it’s growing, and it will soon be growing more if the state’s lithium industry booms.
