How to Remo
We look forward to having you join us for our 2021 SFFILM Festival Online Events! While we may not be meeting in-person this year, we encourage you to enjoy yourself and mingle virtually with all our festival guests. Here are some instructions to get the most out of this event hosted on Remo.
5. Looking for someone? Use your mouse to hover over guests on the floor to see who is in the room. You can then move to their table or chat them to hang out!
1. Sign in to the event website using the same email address we have on file for you (the address this message was sent to). Once you’ve signed in, navigate to your initial in the upper right hand corner and complete a brief profile. This profile serves as a virtual business card.
6. Want to roam around? Move to a different Floor by using the buttons on the left side of the screen.
Filmmakers: please include your name along with your film title in parentheses. Ex: John Smith (FILM TITLE)
2. Once inside the online party, you will be placed at a table randomly. Do not worry! You can move freely around the room by double clicking on any table. The number of seats corresponds with the number of people who can join each other at each table. If a table is full, simply select a different table!
4. Try using the Chat function to interact with one another! Located on the bottom of your screen you can either chat publicly to everyone, directly to your table, or privately to individual guests.
3. Make sure your camera and microphone are on! Located in the bottom part of your screen, click the camera icon and the microphone icon to turn on.
7. If you need help at any time, stop by our HELP table on Floor 1 or use the Chat feature to connect with a staff member who can assist you (these staff members will have ‘HELP’ next to their name in the chat).
8. If you need to chill out or take a break from the conversation, head to one of our one-seat tables on any floor. You can turn off your camera and mic to take a breather.
9. Last but not least, have fun and don’t forget to mingle! Be sure to select the Chat feature and scroll through the list of participants to see others attending the event who you might want to connect with. We look forward to seeing you there!
