COREY MILLER No One Talks About Overpopulation

COREY MILLER | NO ONE TALKS ABOUT OVERPOPULATION

Maybe to them being harvested for humanity

it’s not a concern

first hand

but I observe the land

to feed

Farmlands needing

every square inch

the latest newborn

that will grow up to buy a townhome in the city

Consuming red peppers out of season because they eat with their eyes

and

Guatemala sounds exotic When we can’t cultivate anymore

drench the crops with chemicals

until the yields are greater and greater and

Don’t consider the taste in your mouth like having to weight out

having to tell someone no

Set out a predator

the good and the bad

you NEED to control yourself

that’s as tiny as a mosquito

sour

that is a mosquito

Sucking the blood

from one patient

and depositing it

into another

Free blood transfusions

extending our life expectancy greater

and greater and Let’s all grab avocados

that traveled

the country

to northern Ohio

The plastic bags grocery stores so willingly provide us

take them home

discard the recyclable carriers

make guacamole

eat 1 /2 thenhaveourmid-lifequarterlifecrisis
