Barbara Zeigler is an artist and professor emerita of the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She received her BFA in Painting and her MFA in Printmaking from the University of Illinois, and has taught at the University of Alberta, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Queen’s University, and in the USA at the University of Illinois. Her artworks have been widely exhibited nationally and internationally, and are in numerous national and international public collections. Working in printmaking, photography, drawing, installation, video, and collaborative public art projects, Zeigler seeks to prompt questions as to the character and consequences of our existing cultural paradigms.
Mark NicholasHeineTuele
Nick Tuele has worked in the cultural sector for more than 40 years, completing 18 of those years at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (AGGV) where he was Deputy Director and Chief Curator. Tuele’s past work history includes posts as Director/Curator of the Northwest Mounted Police Museum in Fort Macleod, Cultural Advisor at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center in Yellowknife, and Interim Executive Director of the BC Museums Association. Tuele is a published author, and has extensive regional and national jurying and adjudication experience. Since 2000 Tuele has been a consultant and the sole proprietor of “The Art of Art Consulting” located in Victoria, BC, a specialty company that provides tailored solutions to cultural institutions, collectors, and artists.

Mark Heine is a professional artist living in Victoria, BC. For the past 40 years, Mark has exhibited throughout Canada and the US, and shared his techniques in demonstrations, workshops and classes across Western Canada and overseas. His work can also be found in public collections across Europe. Mark has juried several local art shows, appeared in many print and online publications, and completed numerous commissions for major corporations including Sony, Disney and Starbucks. Throughout his career, he has garnered more than 40 national and international awards, including the designation “Associate Living Master” by The Art Renewal Centre. His Siren Series paintings are captured in his coming book, a work of fiction in the genre of imaginative realism.
