SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Seymours Prestige Homes shares a flavour of what the finest homes will be ‘wearing’ over the coming months

Elena Romanova Interiors

Situated in Surbiton, Elena Romanova Interiors has been one of Surrey and South West London’s premier design agencies for several years. According to Elena, the bespoke, personal, one-to-one services are dedicated to helping clients create a ‘true sense of place, reflecting your desires, personality, and style’.

“This spring is bringing a modern artisan feel,” says Elena. “It has a serene, subdued colour palette interspersed with warmer tones of terracotta, coral and muted pinks.

“With everything going on in the world it feels like people are looking for something very soothing which will be reflected in bedroom pieces and styles. However, having said that, if people are looking to go bolder then wallpaper is very much back - and whole rooms too, featuring bright patterns.”

Elena says that as people continue to work from home, the need to find a cosy corner amid the open-plan living is also something to watch this year.

She says: “Granny chic may be making a bit of a move over the next few months but overall, the theme for spring is definitely warm, whether that’s walls, floors or soft furnishings.” elenainteriors.co.uk

For 2023, the studio has collaborations with London based artists, including the world-renowned tattoo artists studio, Six Bullets Tattoo Studio and impressionist landscape artist Ian Mowforth. Both creators have brought an added dimension to the spring collection with Ian unearthing a tranquil, pastoral feel, while Six Bullets has brought a more playful air, featuring pinks and yellows, which Yasmin says is perfect for a small space.

“Neutrals with the addition of earthy tones are here to stay for 2023,” she reveals, “with the use of a deeper palette, such as terracotta, stone and mushroom that will add warmth, depth and cosiness to a space.”

But she adds that there will also be more of a maximalist approach to wall coverings will make a return - “No longer just for a feature wall - the use of pattern for an entire room or alternatively, ceiling or joinery,” says Yasmin. wildhomestudio.co.uk

Some 18 years later, the East Horsley based studio offers a design and procurement service that ensures your plans are personally curated from first consultation to the final plump of the pillow.

Alongside the interior design and architecture services, Stephenson Wright has also launched a furniture line in partnership with local artisan creators to offer clients the very best in Surrey craftsmanship.

Juliette says: “We try not to be too trend driven - rather what is right for each client and their home. However, the spring feels for us are a natural and neutral base of camel and fresh cream with a fresh introduction of coral and blue tonesblue is always present in our schemes.

“We are seeing more large scale embroidered floral patterns and textures but we would use them sparingly as cushions rather than all over a sofa. By using the trend colours in accessories and loose items they can easily be switched in and out with the seasons.” stephensonwright.com
