Become A Literacy Volunteer and Help Change A Life! Tutoring is one of the most popular volunteer opportunities at Literacy Pittsburgh, the region’s largest literacy organization. Literacy Pittsburgh (formerly Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council) will offer a free tutor training workshop at the Sewickley Public Library on Saturday, October 20 from 10 AM – 5 PM. Tutors can then select an additional 3 hour training to help an adult with reading and writing skills or English as a Second Language. No experience is necessary; tutors are matched with a student in their neighborhood and materials and support are provided. Join us in building better lives through learning!
