ADMISSIONS
CHECKLIST ☐ Complete the admission application and turberculosis questionnaire online by visiting sccc.edu. There is no application fee. ☐ Complete a scholarship application. The priority deadline for scholarships is April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the Spring semester. Applications received after the priority deadline will be put on a waitlist. ☐ Send your current high school transcript, and college transcript if applicable, to the SCCC Registrar’s Office. ☐ After March 1, visit sccc.edu/students/housing and click APPLY NOW to fill out a housing contract. A $100 deposit is required when filling out a housing contract. ☐ Send your ACT scores to SCCC, or sign up for the ACCUPLACER test. To schedule a time to take the ACCUPLACER call 620-417-1042. SCCC does not require an admissions exam, scores are used for course placement and/or assessment. **Appointments are required to guarantee a seat in the Testing Center.**

COVERED. CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
With concurrent, career, and transfer program opportunities, and online or on campus classroom options, there’s options for every Saint to reach their education and career goals.
Concurrent enrollment provides an opportunity for eligible students in high school to take courses that are taught for both high school and college (dual) credit. Saints looking to get a headstart with concurrent enrollment can pursue the option in all ten of SCCC’s outreach schools and communities, in addition to Liberal High School. Some concurrent options offered through local high schools are free of charge. Ask your school counsler for more information.
TRANSFER PROGRAMS SCCC offers a number of two year programs designed for Saints who want to continue their education at a four-year college or university. Can I really afford c FEDERAL STUDENT AID Federal student aid includes the Pell Grant, Federal Student Loans, and Federal Work Study. In order to determine eligibility for any of these types of aid Saints must fill out a FAFSA online. Individuals who fill out the FAFSA may not be eligible for all types of federal student aid.

After October 1, go to fafsa.gov to file your FAFSA. TUITION PLUS BOOKS AND FEES* PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to a senior recommended by their counselor with 3.0+ GPA. If the student has above a 3.5 GPA and is selected as a student tour guide, the scholarship is raised to tuition, books and fees.* Recipients must enroll in and attend 15 credit hours through 25% of each semester, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or cumulative GPA of 3.5 if selected to work in the admissions office) and complete at least 12 credit hours each semester.

APPLICATION TIMELINE
NOW
☐ Visit sccc.edu to submit your admissions application at the beginning of your fall semester. If still in high school, use a copy of your 9th - 11th grade transcripts (classes and grades) for reference.
FALL
☐ Search for outside scholarships. ☐ Take the ACT or ACCUPLACER placement test and submit the scores to SCCC. The SCCC ACT code is 1439.
SEPTEMBER
☐ Once admitted, sign a contract for student housing. This contract includes a nonrefundable $100 deposit required to reserve your room.
OCTOBER
☐ The FAFSA (free application for Federal Student Aid) becomes available online at fafsa.gov. You must complete a FAFSA to be considered for federal loans, grants, and federal work study. Saints are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible as some need based federal financial aid is limited.
APRIL
☐ Complete and turn in a scholarship and grant application by the April 1st priority deadline to be considered for SCCC scholarships. Applications received after this date will be put on a wait list and rely on available funds in order to award. Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
SPRING/SUMMER ☐ Sign up and participate in an All Saints Day where you can enroll in classes, meet with an advisor, get more information, and meet other Saints. Visit sccc.edu or call 620-417-1100 to register. ☐ Ensure all official, final transcripts are sent to the SCCC Registrar’s Office. This includes high school and any other colleges or universities you attended.

BASKETBALL PREVIEW NIGHT
Meet the Saints and Lady Saints basketball teams during preview night! Scrimmages, autographs, contests and prizes take place during this action packed evening.
SPRING SEMESTER SENIOR SHOOTOUT
Area high school seniors can take a chance at winning a scholarship along with other great prizes. Senior shootout also gives future Saints the opportunity to visit campus, take a tour and meet other Saints. Registration is required.
AREA HIGH SCHOOL CAREER DAY
Open to high school juniors and seniors, career day is a great opportunity to get more information about specific careers and speak with advisors in each division.

All Saints Days are an excellent way for incoming freshmen to begin their college career and become familiar with campus. Students taking part in All Saints Days will meet with an admissions representative, learn how to log onto campus computers, navigate the MyCampus Portal, and meet with an advisor to enroll in classes. ACT scores or ACCUPLACER test results are required to enroll in classes. An ACCUPLACER test will be offered on each of the All Saints Days. All Saints Days are held once a month. For a schedule of upcoming All Saints Days call the Admissions Office at 620-417-1100 or visit go.sccc.edu/allsaintsday. Registration is required.
