After a strange year, it’s wonderful to be back together again in support of anyone affected by breast cancer.

As we move towards 2022, I’m proud to be part of a charity who will continue to work tirelessly to be here for anyone affected by breast cancer. We’re striving every day and in every way towards a future with fewer cases, fewer deaths and a better quality of life for everyone affected by breast cancer. Together, we’ll get there.

The money we raise together here today will all go towards Breast Cancer Now’s ambitious goal. That by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well.

I’d like to thank all of our amazing speakers this evening, as well as The Berkeley Hotel and The Grenadier for keeping us fed and watered with mince pies and mulled wine.

The last year has been tough for anyone affected by breast cancer. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Breast Cancer Now estimates that almost 11,000 people in the UK could have been living with undiagnosed breast cancer at the end of 2020.

So please sit back, relax and enjoy the service. From both myself and Breast Cancer Now, have a wonderful festive season and a happy new year.

FUNDS IN MEMORY Visit our fund in memory website Inmemory.breastcancernow.org Colin lost his wife, Gill, to breast cancer in 2007 and started a Fund in her name. Since then he’s gone on to raise over £29,000 in her memory with the support of family and friends.

‘Gill had so many friends and family members that loved her that when she passed away, I knew immediately that I had to do something in her name. Something that made sure her memory lived on. Being able to do something positive to help others has been a huge source of strength for our family’.
